For the price it was amazing value. We had an evening meal that was nicely cooked, plenty of choice, served with veg and potatoes. Enjoyed a 10k walk from hotel through Wroxham to Broughton Castle and back before dinner.

Enjoyed every minute in this wonderfully atmospheric building. Our comfortable room was in the old tower looking out over the battlefield, the Hook Norton beer in the bar was delicious and well-kept, the food in the evening was magnificent - the shin of beef excellent - and the service throughout friendly and efficient. We were a little disappointed on arrival to find that, as it was a week day, that breakfast was cold only and placed in the room, but as things panned out was plentiful after the night's dinner and probably for the best, so no complaints whatsoever.
It is a must at the start of your stay to visit the church in the nearby village of Radway, where there is a permanent exhibition explaining in detail the Battle of Edgehill. After which sit at The Castle, look over the fields where such unthinkable carnage took place and see in your mind's eye that fateful day unfolding before you. It does provide food for thought and you may find yourself wondering how vastly different British history may have turned out had the King been the eventual winner; a discussion that provided healthy debate with others in the bar come evening time.
Overall, a truly unique place, perfect for that special occasion or simply as a treat. Doubtful we'll return, but one never to be forgotten. Thanks to Dariusz and the Team - it was great!

This property was a 2 minute drive to the Banantyne spa where we had breakfast, followed by spa treatments and lunch. It was the perfect location for this event.

The only thing I can comment on was the traffic, but that was due to the time I had to be leaving Banbury. Having been at school near Banbury all I can say is that Banbury has changed a lot in the last 60 years but I did recognise many landmarks.

Excellent location for short stays, especially for people who would like to visit nearby attractions including but not limited to Cotswolds, National Trust's and English Heritage's. You can find everything you may require for a short stay: petrol stations, supermarkets, parking, restaurants, train station and good connections to the local area.

On the whole it's a very nice town with a good selection of shops, restaurants etc, although one or two streets look a bit run down. We had excellent food at The Church House and the Three flavours. There's also good historical interest .

Banbury is a little run down in the shopping area but the walk along canal is great and there are other parks around for walks. People are very pleasant. Because our hotel didn't serve meals we ate at the local Wetherspoons, which serves good food at very good rates. As a stranger to Banbury I found it difficult to navigate in a car but by foot there is excellent signposts. There are lots of nooks and crannies to explore and lots of coffee shops.

Banbury is an expanding commuter town, that was once a small market town.
Unfortunately the market is no where near as large as it once was. The town centre is busy and has all the amenities you could wish for . Two pubs worth a visit are The Reindeer and The White Horse.
Regretfully there is very little here of historical interest due to inept planning in the 60s and 70s, there are however some wonderful places to visit close by

The hotel room was lovely; nice, modern and clean, with good facilities. The hotel also looked the part from outside too, and was situated not too far from the centre of Banbury, meaning we were at walking distance from the town, which was nice. Helen was an excellent host too, very friendly and welcoming. For what we got, the value for money was great as well.
Conveniently located mordern updated hotel within 10 mns walk of Banbury, very pleasant and friendly hosts, room was very clean and modern with great facilities, although the hotel is on a bust main road we slept very well in a comfy bed. will definitely return
