I found the shopping area to be quite busy during the day, but I found it far from central London.
At night I didn't feel safe arriving at the hotel. There were a lot of men drinking and using drugs on the streets.

Staff were willing to help and accommodate us and we requested extra pillows, they got them for us, only downside was the location of our room, it was next to the entrance of the car park, cars would beep and people smoked outside our window.

Barking, although recognised as a deprived area of London, is a pleasant working class suburb of London. The streets were clean and during the day I was happy to see that the shops were all used and open for trade. The people were approachable and friendly (although as in most places there are bound to be others that are not). I went to a local cafe and had something to eat and drink, it was surprisingly cheap and good quality. As it was New Years eve, I had to return to the area in the early hours of the morning, however, felt safe doing so, (again just be aware of the surroundings and stay alert, but this would be the same in any area). Overall, I found Barking a lovely down to earth area.

For a 2 star hotel it rated well....staff were able to provide a fan as the room was not sufficiently cool enough for sleeping
Staff were friendly and cooperative...drawback location being some distance from Barking railway station...at least 15/20 minutes walk

The room was boiling hot. there wasn't any AC available. no spare pillows and bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. shower facility was very poor. the room was very small. They call it hotel but most of the customers looked like council use this place as refuge accommodate those people. very poor quality for the money. Totally waste of money and Saturday night.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay—the place is absolutely beautiful. It features a charming mix of vintage and modern furniture, and the bedrooms are very comfortable, making for a great night’s sleep.
While the location is in East London, it’s well-connected and conveniently close to the station. The host was very friendly and welcoming, which added to the overall positive experience.
The infrared sauna was a lovely touch, and the hot tub under the night sky made for a perfect romantic getaway.
Highly recommended! Flat in very good condition, two separate bedrooms and two bathrooms plus living room. Spacious, comfortable and clean. Close to the Barking metro station. Very nice owner, explained everything to us. When we are in London again we will also use it. Regards!
Generally run down and in need of refurbishmemnt. No hot water available. Had to have a cold shower. Hospitality and the staff were good and the food was good in the bar area. Just the hotel side that needs a lift.
The price was good and the look of the hotel was clean and relatively modern. Some of the communal areas - stairs, kitchen - were shabbier and poorly maintained
