The location is beautiful! Very quiet at night with the fire pit on. The bed was very comfortable and the facilities were more than what we needed it was brilliant.

'Snug' is a lovely place to stay, with excellent bed and facilities. Biggest shower head I've seen 😂 Only wish it could have been longer.
Ideal premises/location, for someone looking for a totally chillaxed few days😁

The lodge is very striking outside and inside with high ceilings and lots of space. Set in a beautiful location.
The bed is very comfortable. We really enjoyed our breakfast rolls in the morning.

Extremely helpful staff for check in with my elderly father and adaptability of his room, allowing us to take a different chair with arms into his room to help him get up and onto his walker etc.
Also gave great advice to my husband on how best and cheapest to get into Edinburgh in the evening for a quick visit to the festival ( only there that night en route to a holiday).
Food good value and enjoyable.
We could see it was near/on an industrial estate but it was well screened and quiet.
Nothing too much trouble.
Although we could see it was near/on an industrial estate near the motorway. It was well screened, quiet and very convenient.
Thank you. We would stay again in the future as a stopover.

as my trip was to visit family i use the hotel as a base so cannot offer any views on bathgate itself . but the hotel is ideal for travel to either glasgow and edinburgh. as the hotel offers a evening meal there is no need to go anywhere else.allthough i tend to drive most places i beleive the railway station is not far so a option for travelling to edinburgh, and less than an hours drive you can cross the forth bridge or one of the others to explore more of scotland.what i would avoid on any future trips would be looking at staying anywhere else..

The rooms were good and facilities.
The rooms were good and facilities. The breakfast and evening meals are very good. good location for other cities and attractions. Staff were very polite and helpful. the only things that could be better are lighting in the rooms and the shower pressure. some comfortable seating in the restaurant area.

I lived in Bathgate as a young boy so I have many fond memories. Logistically it is ideally located and only 25 minutes from Edinburgh Airport and a few major highways. Shopping is limited but you can get what you need. Livingston Center is only 15 minutes away with fantastic shopping. It has a great Scot Rail service right near the town center so getting to either Glasgow or Edinburgh is very easy. It's a friendly town. Most of the time you'll be greeted by a stranger walking past you on the pavement. It's very low key but a great base to explore lower Scotland from.

Do not as a previous reviewersaid, judge a book by its cover. The outside is uninviting and looks unkept and old fashioned. Quite different inside

Lovely, quirky b&b run by friendly and helpful hosts. The rooms have their own individual style - if you're looking for cookie cutter, impersonal hotel accommodation this may not be for you, but it's an ideal home away from home with a safe, cosy atmosphere. I stayed in a twin room. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bedroom and ensuite were spotless. The location is perfect, a quiet little street but only two minutes walk from the train station. I would highly recommend this place to anyone staying in the area.
I booked this for a chill out night after a hard year working prior to Christmas .Massive spacious lodge .Great size bathroom with bath and shower. Small area with microwave kettle and fridge. Big comfy bed with great bedding .Tv and small seating area with dining table Beautiful countryside location Restaurant on site.
The hotel exceeded our expectations in every way — its prime location offered easy access to nearby attractions, the weather during our stay was absolutely perfect, the room was spacious and comfortable, and the overall uniqueness of the property added a special charm that made our experience truly memorable.
