Belfast is an intriguing interesting City with a wealth of history and many places to visit and explore. It has many superb bars and restaurants and a great network of trains, buses and taxi's. I would highly recommend the 'hop on - hop off' bus tour as excellent value for money to enable exploration of the many fascinating places Belfast has to offer. It is also easily accessible to both the airports and there is good City parking available if hiring a car to explore the other tourist attractions in Northern Ireland.

The people were so friendly and welcoming, and the museums were excellent- the City Hall museum and the Titanic museum. Walking around the city is fun and the public transport is easy. The history was very moving- from industrial revolution workers movements to The Troubles... And the music was GREAT! Recommend The Dirty Onion and The Second Fiddle!

Great city to explore expecially by train from Dublin.

Great city to explore expecially by train from Dublin. Did the Titanic experience, didn't have time to do the hop on and hop off bus or other city trips. Very easy to explore and day trip on Sunday to Carrickfergus castle, dark hedges and giants causeway were so worth the trip

It's a city dominated by 'The Troubles' and by being the place the Titanic was built. Decidedly bike/pedestrian unfriendly, compared with France. Othrwise a fairly generic city experience.

Ice Hockey was a big hit with both Adults and kids.

Ice Hockey was a big hit with both Adults and kids. Because we had Grandkids it was fast food. I am not a great lover of fast food but I really would recommend Slim Chicken in the shopping center. W5 Is well worth a visit I would recommend booking your slot on line ( but unlike me don't get stressed if your not there at exact time as staff said it's a guide and you wont loose your place). It was raining the whole time we were there so we went to cinema. The Titanic center is amazing but just remember if you have younger children they will only be interested in doing the fun trail.( that is where they are looking for characters ) As we had an 11 year old and 7 my Husband and I had to split up one going with young and the other doing main tour. It didn't worry us as we had done this ourselves a year ago. We were hoping to go to waterpark but again the 7 year old couldn't do what 11 year old could as you had to be 8 and a certain height. There would have been a section the 7 year could have gone but our Grandson thinks anything my brother can do I can do too, and that's so unfair so for my sanity we didn't go.

We would not recommend Belfast at the weekend for older people as there were too many drunks and homeless people on the streets, and there were bouncers on all the doors of restaurants and if you hadn't booked a table then you couldn't eat there. Weekday evenings were fine, so go on Monday and come home on Thursday. The Titanic exhibition is amazing.

It's probably the best option in Belfast City Centre on a budget. The staff throughout the hotel were friendly, lots of cleaning and washing going on throughout when we were there, and the hostel is in a great location, only a 15 minute or so walk to places like the Europa hotel etc. Shared kitchen and common room on one of the floors, and a good sized lobby for waiting about for other guests. Decent place to get your head down.

Short walk from the train station, and again into the city centre. Great vibe in the hotel the minute you walk in, greeted with a smile by the lovely staff. Check in was quick and easy and our room was ready even though we were early. On this occasion I was travelling with my mam and sister, but Id like.to return with my kids as they'd love the fussball table and various games placed around the lobby area.
