Belfast is easy to walk round.
Belfast is easy to walk round. It has some beautiful architecture mixed in with modern. There are interesting and informative tours and excursions that explain the chequered history of Belfast and Ireland.
There are some great bars and restaurants, something for everyone.
We were made welcome by everybody we met. A very enjoyable trip.

I've been to Belfast several times and always enjoyed it.
I've been to Belfast several times and always enjoyed it. We flew into Belfast International airport, which is a delightful airport and we used the Service 300 Airport Shuttle to get to the city. The 300 is cheap and is a great service, taking you to the Central Station transport hub, which is only a few minutes walk to the city centre.
Lots of pubs and restaurants in Belfast if you like a lively time, also concerts, etc. There's some good tours to Giant's Causeway, etc. during the day, also city tours, river tour and of course, the Titanic experience. Belfast is a great place to visit and the people are friendly. There's plenty of accommodation but prices vary. If you don't mind the logistics, there's good value accommodation to be had away from the centre.

so much history in Belfast and not a lot of people know about all the troubles, it should 100% be on the school curriculum.
People so friendly and a happy place but it is still affected by the religious differences.

The Ulster Museum is very interesting, willow dragons...
The Ulster Museum is very interesting, willow dragons hanging in the foyer, Irish artists prominent, lots of geology, archeology for the kids. The grounds and green house are lovely.
We took a bus tour to the Giant's Causeway. That was the best part of the tour. The views of the landscape were beautiful.
We took a Black Cab tour of the two sides of Belfast. Paul was informative, he told both sides of the story, but remained optimistic.

Very open and friendly people. Great pubs with good live music. Nice city.
The only disappointment was the hop-on, hop-off bus (poor audio quality for the English commentary and very little information in the international translations).

Love the compact layout.
Love the compact layout. Has the feel of a big city with lots of buzz. But then a real village feel as well. Really does feel optimistic and on the up after all the terrible past. Loads of start ups and innovation. And look carefully and there are relics to remind you just how great and prosperous a ship building city it was (e.g. Belfast Telegraph building) before sectarian strife nearly shut it down. And great pubs and food and people! I'm coming back soon.

A well located, clean and comfortable hotel a short walk from the city centre and the covered food market. The pub on the ground floor was also very cosy. We would recommend parking at the nearby Cromac car park rather than the car park nextdoor to the hotel as it was considerably cheaper. Our top recs would also be: the Pocket Cafe for brunch; the Spaniard pub for a Guinness or several; the Titanic Museum; peace wall taxi tour; taking a hire car up the coast to the Giant’s Causeway; and the Smuggler’s Inn for dinner (amazing seafood).

The location is excellent and within easy walking distance of everything Belfast city centre has to offer. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable and beautifully presented. Whenever we interacted with the staff they were always friendly, polite and welcoming, and the chocolates left in our room each evening were a lovely touch that made the stay feel that little bit more special.

The hotel exceeded all expectations.... beautiful, historical setting, historically contextual and very sympathetically arranged to celebrate the building's past. The staff were brilliant and generally fantastic stay. David at concierge was fantastic, his knowledge made the stay even better. the location is easy to get to, and walkable into the city centre.
