The Lyceum Theatre and Queen's Film Theatre were both close by and we enjoyed their offerings. The Botanic Gardens are lovely and the Ulster Museum was stunning. We took the train to Bangor and walked some of the coastal path back towards Belfast. It was a great day out.

Belfast has come a long way since I visited in the mid-1990s. It feels as safe and relaxed as most European cities, although it would be nicer if the sectarian murals were consigned to the past. Belfast still feels authentically and distinctively Irish whereas Dublin has become swamped by international brands. There is a good range of things to do and see even on a rainy day. Many pubs do good food at modest prices, particularly at lunchtime. A pint of plain and a bowl of Irish Stew at the Crown is the man for me.

A very walkable city with lots of attractions to see and visit. A very friendly city. Transport opportunities for travel to e.g giants causeway, airports etc are efficient and reasonably priced. Must dos.... Private taxi to the murals, titanic, botanic gardens and Ulster museum. Visit bushmills whiskey distillery then giants causeway and Portrush by local bus then return by train. A full day but with an Ilink card only £20 per person. Lot's of cool bars in the cathedral quarter.

What I enjoyed most was the Giant's Causeway tour.

What I enjoyed most was the Giant's Causeway tour. Belfast and the surrounding area have so much to offer, and the bus service is excellent, frequent and it goes everywhere you need. My tip for public transport users is to get a day pass, you will save a good bit.

Great city with so much history past and recent.

Great city with so much history past and recent. I never really understood the Troubles before and certainly have a better understanding now. Good restaurants, very walkable and the Titanic Museum is a must. You almost need two days for that alone!
