We very much enjoyed our stay and were very happy with the staff and how they would jump into action whenever we had a problem or needed help. I would highly recommend it. I especially loved how Hani and Smile were so sweet and kind. We for sure would be back again.

FAQs about hotels in Birmingham

Top-Class Shopping, Culture and Sport

The UK's 2nd largest city, Birmingham is one of its top cultural centres. Well-known for the M6 Spaghetti Junction interchange, it is a surprisingly green city with lots of open spaces.

Most city centre hotels in Birmingham are near New Street Station. To the east is the futuristic architecture of the new Bull Ring shopping centre, and just behind is Digbeth Coach Station. To the west is Victoria Square, home of the town hall and a German Christmas Market.

The Mailbox is one of the newest additions to the Birmingham shopping scene, and behind it is one of the canals converging on the Gas Street Basin. By one canal are the ICC (International Convention Centre) and the NIA (National Indoor Arena), both venues that host major events.

Just opposite is Brindleyplace, a canal-front complex of restaurants, bars and hotels near Broad Street – the main nightlife area. It is popular with students at nearby Birmingham University, whose clock tower is modelled on the one in Siena. Just south in Bournville is Cadbury World, and there are several hotels on Hagley Road to the north, which are available on Booking.com.

The city is also known for sports – Aston Villa and Birmingham City are the top football clubs, while Edgbaston Cricket Ground hosts international matches. Other Birmingham attractions include Hockley’s Jewellery Quarter and the NEC arena by Birmingham International Airport.

A few alright places to visit but I didn't like it much for travel purposes. There is nothing special to visit. London has better museums and art galleries and other things to do. At least small towns have their own charm. Birmingham send long roads and tall buildings.

Plenty bars and places to eat ,not amazingly clean streets and be prepared for vagrants and druggies asking for money. The Bullring has the same shops as everywhere else so nothing special. If you like people watching go sit in New Street Station its most revealing.

We stayed at this hotel because it was close to Snow Hill station. We were catching a train to Stratford-on-Avon. Visited the Bullring shopping centre which was huge and very busy as it was Saturday afternoon - not enjoyable. Would not recommend Birmingham at all.

Cadbury World, black Country Museum, Back to Back's, and the Coffin Works, to name a few if the attractions we visited. City centre a but busy but lots to do and see. We ate just off Brindlay, and Bella Italia Good transport links, we used trans and buses. The library worth a visit.

I love Birmingham and am lucky enough to visit often, living just an hour away by train. Obviously, because I live so close I rarely need to stay overnight, but my one-night stay this week came about because I was attending an evening session at the European Athletics Championships taking place at Alexander Stadium. Birmingham does these events so well - I have previously attended UK Championships, World Indoor championships and the 2022 Commonwealth Games, all of which were superbly organised and embraced by the city. I have also attended superb concerts by top class artists, Birmingham really does attract the World's best in any given field. Birmingham residents, "Brummies" are very friendly and helpful people, always quick to help with directions should you find yourself lost. There is a great array of places to eat and drink in the city and, famously, more miles of canal than can be found in Venice! It's a vibrant city at the centre of England and the UK and should definitely be on your list to visit.

It's a vibrant, modern vibe combined with a strong industrial heritage and friendly, characterful people. There are areas of the city that are dirty and disorganized, making it difficult to walk around.

The property is in a great location, offering easy access to Birmingham via train or tram. There’s plenty of on-site parking available at £8 for 24 hours, which is much cheaper than most city centre options. Access is straightforward using the mobile key app. The apartment itself is spacious, with great facilities, and offers excellent value for money compared to many budget hotels does need a little TLC

Some reviewers complained about the dodgy neighbourhood. I don’t know where you snowflakes are coming from. May be you are from a village or from the past able to time travel. All British city centres are like this. It’s part of city life. The location is central and cheap. If you are a big girls blouse stay in an overpriced hotel on broad street :)

The Leanardo hotel is a nice place to stay when in Birmingham. There is easy access from the hotel to the city centre. There are many places to eat in the area, the area is busy with lots of places to go to in the evening. The hotel is clean and welcoming, and the staff are really helpful. I would stay here again when visiting Birmingham.
