    Surroundings and location were perfect.

Surroundings and location were perfect. We had dinner in palomino with drinks. Glass of Prosecco not value for money. Cost doesn't equate to size of the glass.we had coffee and cake next day. Lemon meringue tart was solid had to leave it. No one asked why. We stayed for soup and sandwich for lunch which was amazing. Again had a glass of coke, glass was really small and charged for large glass. Definitely a problem with the drinks.

This is the third time staying at the resort and improvements have been made to the spa which is part of the ongoing redevelopment since the new ownership and hopefully this progresses as the hotel deserves to be brought back to its grand style

Close to the rail station, easy access to Glasgow and Edinburgh. Easy drive around the coast, beautiful scenery. Accommodation had everything, felt home from home. Plenty of fast foods or a couple of pubs which served nice food.

Thankfully the next door room (a nice couple) weren't on their honeymoon - otherwise it could have been even more bizarre. According to reception 50% of all rooms have an adjoining door - which has little (if any) sound proofing. Stay here and you will have a 50% chance of hearing every word (sound) your neighboring room makes. NOT GOOD !

Over priced and staff need to be more on the ball - although the evening receptionist was helpful morning reception was almost indifferent. I raised all issues described and left it for 5 days to hear anything from management - nothing so hence the candid review

Staff!!!! The staff are the jewel in the crown of this modern well appointed hotel and country club complex. Mostly young but fully invested in the task of real hospitality where you feel the center of all that is going on. I didn't make eye contact once where it wasn't reciprocated by big proper happy smiles. Uplifting, enhancing every moment of the stay.. Bonus was opening curtains on to a perfectly kept practice out door arena.

Property was beautiful and clean, felt luxurious. The music playing throughout the grounds was lovely. Every single staff member was helpful and polite especially the receptionist at hotel check in who booked dinner for us and laughed at my husbands bad jokes.
