Beside the Seaside, Beside the Sea
A favoured holiday spot since the Victorian era, Blackpool is a traditional English seaside town. Amusement arcades and crazy golf courses line the promenade and dotted between them are plenty of places to pick up fresh fish ‘n’ chips and Blackpool rock.
On the 5-mile sandy beach, children can enjoy Punch and Judy shows and donkey rides. Old-fashioned entertainment at its best. At the other end of the scale is the Blackpool Pleasure Beach, a fairground complex comprising a variety of rides, including The Big One - once the world’s tallest and steepest rollercoaster. They actually had to get permission from nearby Blackpool Airport to erect it!
More seaside pursuits are on the town’s 3 piers, one of which is Grade II listed. However, the most recognisable landmark is the Blackpool Tower which houses a circus, 4D cinema and a world-renowned ballroom, to name a few. Modelled on the Eiffel Tower, it is spectacularly lit during the annual Blackpool Illuminations, when the whole town is bathed in bright lights. The trams plying the prom are also lit. Look out for the one shaped like a ship.

Very good lots to do, £60 entrance fee for pleasure island but £30 after 5pm when there were less people queuing, plenty of food stores, all in all a great weekend at what we thought was a good price.

The fact Blackpool has banned dogs on beach was very frustrating as one person had to stay with dogs on promenade and others went on beach with children ,there are so many double yellow lines everywhere ,what are disabled parkers supposed to do ? Where do we park ? And No its not easy to get around Blackpool ,not anymore

I was looking for a venue where my kids could have fun, and I’m so glad I found this place. They had a fantastic time and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The location was also very convenient and easy to get around, with plenty of places to eat nearby. Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Sandcastle Waterpark, and SEA LIFE Blackpool are all within walking distance of each other.

the place is a bit run down but it is fine for a short break...
the place is a bit run down but it is fine for a short break. Lots to see and do pubs are great some are pricey but i will reccomend the Ardwick for a cheap pint and a game of pool or darts. Locals are welcoming even when i wear my Burnley football shirt very nice people.

Blackpool Tower is a must!
Blackpool Tower is a must! Also for Strictly fans Ballroom is a must you can go in for a small fee and sit and watch the dancing and have a drink or you can book and have tea. Middle pier was very busy but it was August!

Lovely clean, and very modern hotel. We had the family room and was nice size for us.
Definitely the best place we've stayed whilst our many visits to Blackpool with the kids over the years.
Only thing for me personally was the bed was to firm for me, but you cannot have a bed for everyone.
Will definitely return on next years visit as we normally do Blackpool twice a year for the Pleasure Beach and Sandcastles Waterpark.
Great value for £148.50 for 2 Adults and 3 Kids including breakfast for 1 night.

John and Jane were fantastic hosts and they are the most lovely warm people. They made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was delicious and they were very accomodating. Room was very comfortable with flat screen TV and free wifi with tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel is very close to the seafront and all amenities. They even offered to move their own vehicle to make space for ours which wasn't necessary but was very much appreciated. If we visit Blackpool again, we would book this hotel again.

Fabulous hosts, providing good communication before arrival and information on the area, being attentive while repecting privacy. Our room was clean, warm and had a comfortable bed. 2 robes were provided, which was a nice touch. The full English breakfast was a high standard, the bacon was the best I've had for a long time. Good location near the sea front. With parking, which needs to be pre booked. Will definitely return when visiting Blackpool in the future.

Lovely hotel.Our room was spacious warm and very clean.The bed and pillows were very comfortable.The shower was hot and powerful.The breakfast was delicious.Loved the bar area it has a good vibe.Fantastic location.Its the best hotel we have stayed in in Blackpool.We will definitely be back and will be recommending the hotel to all our family and friends
