Everything! The price to quality ratio is amazing! Yes the room is small but honestly it fitted my need perfectly. It was extremely clean and warm. The bed was very confortable. Loved that we could access the dinning room at all time to eat or work. Breakfast was lovely. Location was perfect as I was there for a workshop happening litteraly next door. Extremely warm owners that make the stay even better. 10/10

Great stay at Franklyn Hotel, we felt like at home, hosts are so lovely and helpfull. Deliciuos breakfasts. Great localisation - everything was near. Very quiet and nice surrounding. Parking is just the other side of the street - big, but very late at night may be problem with finding free place (however we were lucky enough :) )

FAQs about hotels in Blackpool

Beside the Seaside, Beside the Sea

A favoured holiday spot since the Victorian era, Blackpool is a traditional English seaside town. Amusement arcades and crazy golf courses line the promenade and dotted between them are plenty of places to pick up fresh fish ‘n’ chips and Blackpool rock.

On the 5-mile sandy beach, children can enjoy Punch and Judy shows and donkey rides. Old-fashioned entertainment at its best. At the other end of the scale is the Blackpool Pleasure Beach, a fairground complex comprising a variety of rides, including The Big One - once the world’s tallest and steepest rollercoaster. They actually had to get permission from nearby Blackpool Airport to erect it!

More seaside pursuits are on the town’s 3 piers, one of which is Grade II listed. However, the most recognisable landmark is the Blackpool Tower which houses a circus, 4D cinema and a world-renowned ballroom, to name a few. Modelled on the Eiffel Tower, it is spectacularly lit during the annual Blackpool Illuminations, when the whole town is bathed in bright lights. The trams plying the prom are also lit. Look out for the one shaped like a ship.

A popular stag and hen do destination, Blackpool offers accommodation ranging from North Shore hotels to South Shore B&Bs - see Booking.com for the best choice.

Blackpool itself is a combination of areas which clearly have had money spent on it and other areas which look like they are struggling. I ate at a place called Papas which on the first night took about 45 minutes to get my food to me, and when they did some of it was spilt on to the floor. This was ok, it wasn't a lot of food and they had increased the halloumi portion size because of the wait. The Blackpool Tower Experience was good, but in the viewing area, I was told that the bar was shut and then five minutes later the barman proceeded to serve another group of people. I think you would probably need to keep your wits about you if wandering out at night.

This short visit was a nostalgic one and knew i would be spending most of my time in ST.Anns so only spent short time in Blackpool it appears the Blackpool council needs to look at whats happening to some of the properties along the front it is not a good advert for Blackpool I did all my eating in the beach cafe in LYtham ST.ANNES 3 times good food good prices and good views Parking close to the beach is difficult in Blackpool so i go to St Annes

We went to see sounds of Springsteen at the grand theatre.

We went to see sounds of Springsteen at the grand theatre. The theatre is beautiful although it was cold. Show was fantastic. We went in a couple of nice bars liked turtle Bay. However when we were walking back only about 10pm felt a little unsafe with men asking for money and arguing amongst themselves. I suppose this is normal for a town like Blackpool think I would get more ubers if I went again.

We go to Blackpool regularly and even got married there in 2024, so we know the area quite well. Our visit was to attend the Blackpool Weekender event in the Tower Ballroom, which is an absolutely spectacular venue. Neither us had been to the Tower Ballroom for a good number of years (20+ years) so it was nice to see that it was as beautiful as we both remembered. We also bought a Sky Rider Pass (£50 each and great value), entitling us access to The Blackpool Tower Tour, Tower Circus, Tower Dungeons, Madame Tussauds and Pleasure Beach. We used 3 tickets during our visit and we saved 2 tickets for our next visit (within 90 days). The Tower Tour was great, travelling in the lift to the top and looking down through the glass floor at around 400 feet above ground. The Circus was excellent with Mooky and Bubu keeping everyone entertained in between the very talented acts performing. Madam Tussauds was the third tickets that we used and after last visiting in 2014 we both thought that it was brilliant after being completely revamped. Definitely worth a visit (Tip: Make use of the photo booths dotted around the place as they take some great photos).

We spent a few days in Blackpool in April, having booked afternoon tea at the Tower Ballroom, which lived up to it's iconic status. During our stay we walked along the promenade & along the three piers took a ride on the tram & even shed a few pence in the arcades ! There are loads of restaurants, bars & places for teas & coffees or just to sit on the promenade and take in the veiws over the beach.

its not the same as old blackpool 60s/70s up to 2000/there is far to many beggars on street corners/empty hotel buildings/shops etc/blackpool needs money in to the town to make it great again/some of the bb/hotels need checking their propertys/by the council/drunks making foul mouthed shouting until between 11 at night till the early hours/i used to love coming to blackpool but i will only come again for 1 night in memory of my wife/because she loved blackpool / its a shame really that the town has gone down this path/get the goverment to help this once great holiday town back on the top ten of resorts/lewis

From arriving we were made to feel welcome.Frances was very accomodating with parking, even with Mark's big van. Hotel was spotless, breakfast was fabulous, shower perfect, honestly couldnt fault the place. I dont normally review places i stay, but honestly couldnt resist highlighting this little gem. Ive stayed in numerous places in Blackpool with my children over the years but this has to be the best. I totally understand why people return, after talking to a couple in the bar who were regulars. Fabulous stay and will be back.
