From the moment we opened the door to when we left, Fiona made us very welcome. Great hotel to stay. The room was quirky and very comfortable, very quiet with a great view of the ocean. And great coffee before we left, oh and the bathroom was great. Clean, renovated and really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended

FAQs about hotels in Blackpool

Beside the Seaside, Beside the Sea

A favoured holiday spot since the Victorian era, Blackpool is a traditional English seaside town. Amusement arcades and crazy golf courses line the promenade and dotted between them are plenty of places to pick up fresh fish ‘n’ chips and Blackpool rock.

On the 5-mile sandy beach, children can enjoy Punch and Judy shows and donkey rides. Old-fashioned entertainment at its best. At the other end of the scale is the Blackpool Pleasure Beach, a fairground complex comprising a variety of rides, including The Big One - once the world’s tallest and steepest rollercoaster. They actually had to get permission from nearby Blackpool Airport to erect it!

More seaside pursuits are on the town’s 3 piers, one of which is Grade II listed. However, the most recognisable landmark is the Blackpool Tower which houses a circus, 4D cinema and a world-renowned ballroom, to name a few. Modelled on the Eiffel Tower, it is spectacularly lit during the annual Blackpool Illuminations, when the whole town is bathed in bright lights. The trams plying the prom are also lit. Look out for the one shaped like a ship.

A popular stag and hen do destination, Blackpool offers accommodation ranging from North Shore hotels to South Shore B&Bs - see Booking.com for the best choice.

We have always liked Blackpool

We have always liked Blackpool We brought our children and have rought our grandchildren on days out. This was a 5 day trip, child free for my 66th birthday. Loved it. Really enjoyed the food and atmosphere of the Buccaneer restaurant inside coal island. Superbly clean and exceptional food. On a whole Blackpool has become even better. The fact we had a heatwave was a bonus. SUPERB!!! The tram system was brilliant. Easy to use and good value for money. The trams were very clean and the ticket people were really helpful and kind..bear in mind I had never used a tram before.

Like many other seaside resorts Blackpool is tired and run down. We were at theTower Ballroom for the rock and roll weekend - this is beautiful and was the only reason for our trip to Blackpool Plenty of day trippers and weekenders who were enjoying the amusements and pleasure beach. The resort is all flat with a wide long promenade so ideal for wheelchairs/prams

beaches are lovely weather dependant a lot of choice for food places packed with things to do for couples and family loads of rides and attractions at a cost parking can be quite expensive so if you find free parking or get hotel with free parking is a bonus try the back streets for food and drink and some of the drinks prices are quite high on the front some of Blackpool is quite run down just the sign of the times the piers are worth a visit same as the tower we ate in wetherspoons and Flames eat in or takeaway also in the hotel for breakfast gave

Blackpool is a lovely town, packed with activities and places to visit. The locals are really friendly and the nightlife is superb. Great for family's, kids and adults alike will love the tower and pleasure beach. Blackpool gets a bad rap because of the situation with homeless people and the run down areas, but on the whole, blackpool is a fantastic town, made so by the people that live here.

The centre of town is very down-at-heel, with many hotels and boarding houses converted into apartments or looking abandoned. Every attraction requires money to be spent; apart from the beach, Blackpool gives away nothing. As well as the usual seaside treats like sticks of sweet rock, there was one seafront shop advertising "adult rock", which gives you an idea of the town's cheerful vulgarity. The town's public transport system (trams/buses) is excellent and cheap. The seven miles of beach are magnificent to look at, but a bit flat and boring. there would have been lots of shows to choose from if we had come in the school holidays but at our time they seemed to be all illusionists and mystics. No big names. when the rest of England was sweltering, we had a sea breeze and manageable temperatures. Lytham and St Annes down the coast and Cleveleys to the north are pleasant and much less brash than Blackpool.

Staff were very friendly and attentive, room clean and spacious, had a pitch view which our son loved. Restaurant clean and modern, food delicious, bonus points for the darts board which my partner and son enjoyed using on an evening whilst we relaxed with a drink or 2 after a busy day out in Blackpool. We found the location excellent, we had visits to the pleasure beach and Madame Tussaud’s planned and this hotel was in the middle of both and a lovely walk along the seafront made the walk go quickly.

It's a really good hotel. Stayed a few times now for gigs on the north side of Blackpool. The staff have always been brilliant with us, they can have a laugh. It's a nice clean place. If we've been early and our rooms are ready, they don't mind letting us in early so we can get ready to get out early. It's in a good place being right on the front of the north pier. Stayed 3 or 4 times now and will be staying again in the future no doubt

We had a lovely stay in Blackpool over the weekend. The hotel was lovely and clean kept lovely and warm the staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us and our children. Its the first time we've booked a hotel in Blackpool and been pleasantly surprised by it it made our stay so much better than previous years. The added parking was worth it for us as we've had issues with parking in prior visits.

The staff were the best part about this hotel. For one night in Blackpool it was more than comfortable. The hotel is dated and the hot water is an issue but the location is a short walk from the north pier (pier on pier booked)
