The Crown Hotel sits on the edge of Blandford, with views of the Stour River's water meadows and the town. It has a gastro-style restaurant and a stylish, upmarket bar.

The room was really nice and charming. It was big and nicely decorated with a lot of character and history. The pub was equally as charismatic and welcoming also it was a nice sunny day so we got to indulge ourselves in the garden which was nice.

It's cosy, clean, and convenient.in the centre of the town, close to all amenities. 3 mins walk from Morrisons and the River. The best place to park is white mill cliff Street, but time restricted until the evangelical church. You can park 24/7 after the church heading out of town towards Blandford School.its a 20 to 25 min drive to Poole and the Sandbanks 25 to 30 Mins to Bournemouth, and you can get to Weymouth, Bere Regis Lulworth Cove, and many other Wonderful attractions too many to mention within the hour.
Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated Portman Lodge offers accommodation with a garden and free WiFi. This guest house features free private parking and a shared kitchen.

Basic, clean and central to Blandford. Great shower.
So interesting, and friendly. Fashion museum a real gem, lovely tea room, I could have spent all day there. The main displays change every 2 years and there are always different pop up displays through the year. Be careful to stay around museum opening times though. Most are closed Sundays and odd days in week.

We had gone for a funeral and had half a day to spare - we really enjoyed walking around the town which was full of history and character; very attractive with lots of independent shops and friendly locals. Would definitely like to come back and see a bit more.

Our family had a great visit.
Our family had a great visit. So much to keep the kids and adults happy, pool, tennis, games room, couldn't, get us out of the hot tub.
Wish we'd had time to do more walks, the woods and surrounding country are beautiful.
We felt some of the kitchen appliances could be updated, and water pressure for bathrooms improved but overall the house was amazing and a lot of effort has been made to provide everything guests could possibly need.

Blandford is quite a compact medium sized town with good restaurants and easy access to shops. The Morrisons carpark leads to a lovely park, riverside walking area. It is an interesting, historic location; midway between National Trust properties, such as Clouds Hill, the house where Lawrence of Arabia lived and museums, such as Bovington Tank Museum. Dorset is a beautiful county with seaside and country locations.

Blandford Forum is a small country town with plenty of character. There are lovely walks by the river, some very charming pubs and places to eat. The main Hotel the Crown has Live music and a terrace to enjoy a drink. The town has interesting quotes carved into the pavement and some attractive historical buildings as well as a market on Thursday and Saturday, and lots of little interesting boutique shops.
If you are looking for old-fashioned charm and a quiet retreat with occasional entertainment, this is the perfect place for you

Fantastic communication from the host, the room was absolutely perfect for my needs. Location was incredible, right in the centre of Blandford overlooking the market place.
The room was quiet and just what I needed, would absolutely stay here again.
The owners were extremely hospitable; the breakfasts first class and the cleanliness throughout was excellent. The location was perfect for walking into Blandford, and for driving out of the town.
