I've stayed at the Malmaison three times, so I guess that is my seal of approval. The location is perfect for the part of Manchester I am visiting. I like the quirky decor inside - no white box rooms here. Rooms are well equipped with a high level of quality to the fixtures and fittings, and plenty of 'extras' too. Plug sockets are everywhere, and they have USB sockets too. But rooms are very different, because the building is an older one that has been repurposed. I've stayed in three rooms now, and each one was a different shape. The corridors meander, and some rooms are tucked away up curious little tributaries. Best of all is the Breakfast, with a good range to choose from and hot food cooked fresh to your order
What better way to unwind after a day’s sightseeing than relaxing in a health and wellness spa? Spa hotels focus on maximum relaxation for their guests, with luxury features like hot tubs, thermal pools and professional massage services. Some spa hotels use mineral-rich water pumped straight out of the ground, helping to maintain and restore good health.
We had a large room with a big bed which was really comfy. Bath as well as shower in bathroom. Good lighting (so many hotels are too dark). The breakfast was quite good. Lobby is spacious. Pleasant and helpful staff. Indoor pool and sauna looked good (though we did not use it).
The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious and clean. The spa is good, love the large pool windows. Staff are friendly. I really enjoyed my massage. The grounds are well kept. Breakfast was good.
Lovely place with nice rooms, beautiful Spa included in the bed and breakfast rates. Several good walks in the surrounding countryside around the hotel. Nice bar and restaurant, very relaxed atmosphere.
The staff are friendly and accommodating.
The facilities, including the gym, spa, sauna, and swimming pool, are satisfactory.
The location is easily accessible.
The buffet breakfast was pleasant, but it could be improved with a wider variety of options.
Easy check in as done on line before arrival. Lovely relaxed atmosphere in the hotel bar. Nice little pub, Drop Inn, good for a game of pool. Beautiful evening meal in the restaurant. Room large with a very comfortable bed and a good sized bathroom. Good serve yourself buffet style breakfast with plenty of choice of hot or cold food. Beautiful views, didn’t get chance to use Spa as visit was to attend a wedding. Would stay at this hotel again (also noticed it is dog friendly).
Lovely room, large bed and excellent bathroom facilities with plenty of space to relax .( although we could hear a man who appeared to be worse for wear with drink continually shouting/ talking to his partner ! )
Spa and swimming area lovely ,not too busy and staff lovely.
Excellent breakfast, very polite and welcoming staff. Food was very hot and well cooked.
All very pleasant, more or less as expected, staff friendly, afternoon tea was delicious, breakfast was good with a nice selection of foods, service excellent, spa was good and thermal pool and swimming pool were great. Rooms large and comfortable. Overall very nice place for our short relaxing break.
Room was excellent and spacious bathroom with both bath and shower cubicle. Breakfast lovely and the staff in the restaurant, bar and reception very helpful and polite during our stay. We used the SPA on one occasion early evening and enjoyed the facilities which were very clean and relaxing. We will look to return next year !
The staff couldn't do more for you. Infact it was a very hot evening and they had run out of fans, explaining my dog was struggling in the hot room the staff went out and purchased more! The spa was nice and relaxing. The hotel is huge and there's plenty of space to go and have a drink/food in different locations, all dog friendly too. Breakfast was incredible, loads of choice and super fresh. Plenty of grounds to exercise your dog too.
