Everything was excellent ♥️ Staff very friendly and helpful..especially Luisa, cause she helped me a lot for transport and explained a lot to me to get to the station etc… Breakfast very good and a wide variety to choose from, only 1 thing i expected that at least there will be fried eggs, but never mind on the whole it is a very good hotel and I recommend it a lot. Location perfect, although i had a leg injury and had to climb up the hill, but never mind accidents happen.

FAQs about hotels in Bournemouth

Sea Air and Savoir-Faire

Known for its sandy beaches and good nightlife, Bournemouth is a popular seaside resort on the Dorset coast between Poole and Christchurch.

The town is centred on the Bourne River, running downhill towards the sea by Bournemouth Pier. This pier looks back towards a promenade lined with beach huts at the foot of grassy cliffs. The promenade continues west to Poole, while a road goes east to neighbouring Boscombe, where anglers often fish from its pier. Overlooking it is a clifftop road housing some Bournemouth hotels with sea views.

Booking.com also offers hotels near the BIC – Bournemouth International Centre in the West Cliff area. This convention centre and music venue is a short walk from the Art Deco Pavilion Theatre, located next to the Lower Gardens. In this popular city park is the Bournemouth Eye, a tethered hot air balloon that offers far-reaching views.

At the park’s top end the river disappears under a large square, then emerges in the Central Gardens. Overlooking these gardens is the Victorian town hall, which used to be one of several spa hotels in Bournemouth. Opposite is a Grade I-listed church, and St Peter’s Church has the grave of Mary Shelley, author of ‘Frankenstein’.

On the outskirts of town, near 4 golf courses and the Castlepoint Shopping Centre, is Bournemouth Airport.

We didnt see the beach where we stayed at the other end of town. We went for one night only to attend a concert. I used to go to Bournemouth quite a lot but it seemed very rundown where we were. We went upto Poole after that....much nicer. Away from the centre Bournemouth coast is lovely.

If you're from England you'll know of Bournemouth and its attraction, so there's not much else to say other than it will probably be busier than you think when you go to the beach. If you're not, it's a pleasant visit when it's not hot/a Bank Holiday and you can enjoy the beach, a couple of other attractions and then leave: it's not the most exciting/memorable/fun-packed place. The main attraction by far is the beach: seven miles of imported sand. There used to be a town centre, there isn't really much left any more. The parks in the middle of town are pleasant but apart from them it lacks the character and vibrancy of e.g. Brighton.

we walked from the train station, as very warm in sunshine, as cheaper than taxi, and bus. took around fifteen minutes to get from train station, via three main roads to cross, used underpass, and see the local areas again. the area where our hotel is in a quiet area, but, close to local bus routes, also about fifteen minutes to town centre, the lower gardens, the beach. as having been stayed in the same hotel before, we knew our way around the area. we shopped in the big tesco express in the town centre, as lots of food/drink. and other items sold there, also had ice creams from one of the small cafes in the lower gardens, as done so before.

The beach was lovely and sandy with life guards.

The beach was lovely and sandy with life guards. However, we found broken glass from a beer bottle hidden under a top layer of sand right next to a young family. We were astonished and reported this to life guards and online to the council. There were too many asylum seekers on the beach. It was painfully obvious. I would not send my kids there by themselves

We were a little disappointed with Bournemouth.

We were a little disappointed with Bournemouth. The town centre felt quite run-down, with many empty and closed shops. There were also roadworks and construction taking place, which affected the overall atmosphere. We noticed several cafés and restaurants with large rubbish bins directly in front of their outdoor seating areas, which was not very pleasant. We also found the choice of restaurants more limited than we had expected for a popular seaside destination.

I only stayed for 1 night, I didn't have breakfast so I can't comment on the food at the hotel. The room I stayed in was very comfortable, it had a wall mounted TV, there was plenty of tea and coffee provided in the room. The hotel charge £5 for parking (having stayed in a number of hotels in Bournemouth £5 is cheap ), there is a small carpark at the front of the hotel and another carpark to the rear of the hotel.
