The college dormitories is located in the center of Cambridge University and near bus station. There is a big M & S market near our college. You can buy many good and cheaper foods in M & S. I really recommend M&as.

FAQs about hotels in Cambridge

The Inspiration for Genius

Open-plan and open-minded, Cambridge is best known for university colleges dating to the 13th century. King’s College is the most popular, and its chapel choir is internationally famous. Although accessed from cobbled King’s Parade, it is best viewed from a punt on The Backs, the part of the River Cam behind.

Cambridge punting is an institution and gives great views of Queen’s College Mathematical Bridge and the Bridge of Sighs at St John’s College. Upstream is Jesus Green, site of an outdoor pool and a fantastic beer festival. Next to this is Midsummer Common, a park home to the annual Strawberry Fair (and the occasional cow). Opposite are the college boathouses - get up early to see the rowers in action!

Cows also roam the Mill Pond meadow, where the river leads south to Grantchester, a quaint village with a lovely cafe. Places to eat in Cambridge include riverside restaurants and typical English pubs like The Eagle, drinking hole of DNA founders Watson & Crick.

Cambridge shopping options include a daily market (in Market Square), the Grafton Centre and the exclusive Grand Arcade, the latest addition. The Scott Polar Museum and free Fitzwilliam Museum are 2 of many fantastic Cambridge museums.

Stansted Airport is connected by train to the city’s accommodation choices on Booking.com.

Wonderful city with a host of culture and things to do.

Wonderful city with a host of culture and things to do. Great shops. Lovely park areas. Punting available and city tours brilliant. Choice of wonderful restaurants - particularly enjoyed the independent ones rather than those part of a chain. In one street had choice of Greek, Italian, low key pub vibe and high dining...all of which were independent!

A very pretty town so good in-fact 2 of our young teenage granddaughters liked Cambridge so much they have gone back today via a train to re visit, they felt safe when they were walking around on the 18th and went back to explore more of the city

Wow what a lovely city.

Wow what a lovely city. We only had the day here but there is plenty to do and see so would have been good to spend some more time here. Plenty of shops if shopping is your thing, and plenty of pubs/cafes/restaurants. We booked a punting trip down the River Cam which was very enjoyable and informative and was walking distance from the town centre. We will definitely be back but to spend the weekend to ensure that we get around to exploring more of Cambridge such as the colleges/grounds and taking in walking tour to capture everything.

Plenty of free museums to visit for art, science and culture which was the reason for our trip. Busy but it didn't feel too crowded, buses were frequent and on time. Punting was a relaxing way to see the River Cam and the various university buildings but the river was full of them all doing the same trip, I recommend Cambridge Punters as it was the cheapest at £14 as of today's date and exactly the same as the more expensive punting companies running the same trip. I also recommend park and ride for hassle free parking. We ran out of energy too see more museums and the green spaces but the Fitzwilliam museum didn't dissapoint and the archeology museum was very interesting with plenty of anthropological artifacts.

Historic university town with excellent cultural background.

Historic university town with excellent cultural background. A vibrant community of students and staff. City cleanliness is hard to maintain due to high level of tourism. Walking during early morning before the crowd arrival is a moment of tranquility worthy of cherishing.

Second time we’ve stayed here. Location is fantastic, right in the heart of Cambridge, a college experience with hotel quality rooms. Room excellent, spacious, very well equipped, comfortable, good shower, good wifi. Copious self-serve breakfast in the college dining hall, access to all of the grounds. And whilst not directly related, we used the Madingley Park&Ride which was brilliant - cheap parking and a bus every 10 minutes that goes along Jesus Lane almost to the door.

Location was super close to the Cambridge train station. We enjoyed the lobby's art-deco interior design. We're able to leave our bags before check in time. Room was large for 3 of us with super comfy beds. Probably the best bed I've slept in a hotel in my years of travelling! Breakfast had a good range of food.

This is a great hotel on the outskirts of Cambridge, I'd rather stay here and get a taxi in than fight with the parking and the grottiness of some of the city centre hotels. The staff are particularly nice here, happy to go the extra mile for you in small ways and just seem to manage the place very efficiently.

The hotel is well placed for visiting Cambridge city centre and the university. The hotel's position is great, just a short walk across Jesus Green and one is in the heart of the city. Room was quiet but away from the main hotel, in an annex.
