It's a very clean and nice property not far from Cardiff City Centre. We booked two rooms for our family and both the rooms were very nice, spacious enough to accommodate all of us. Clean toilets, comfy rooms, and quite happy with our stay. It was nice of the owner of the property Andrew to come over and greet us when we were checking out...

Amazing hotel! The rooms are huge and very comfortable - there’s a kitchen, a great shower, and a big bed. There’s also a laundry room in the building, which is super convenient. The staff were exceptional and even allowed us to check in early. Highly recommend!

A beautiful unique hotel experience which played on its origins as an old Post Office. Extremely comfortable room and we enjoyed amazing food especially an evening meal to remember in the Sorting room Restaurant. Our stay was made even more enjoyable by the extremely friendly staff. Location wise the hotel is ideally situated to enjoy everything Cardiff has to offer. Thanks for such a lovely stay.

FAQs about hotels in Cardiff

The Pride of Wales

Capital of Wales, Cardiff is a wonderfully green city steeped in national pride. At its heart is enormous Bute Park, divided by the River Taff and named after the marquis that once lived in Cardiff Castle overlooking it. In fact, this is just one of 5 castles within the surrounding area.

Over the road is Cathays Park, a beautiful square flanked by Edwardian architectural masterpieces including Cardiff City Hall and the excellent National Museum of Wales. Another must-see is St Fagan’s National History Museum, one of Britain’s top attractions.

From Victorian arcades to the fabulous St David’s Centre, shopping in Cardiff is a delight. And there’s no shortage of pubs and restaurants in which to rest awhile. Those by Cardiff Bay offer particularly pleasant views.

Also by the bay are the futuristic National Assembly for Wales and the Wales Millennium Centre. Another year 2000 landmark is the Millennium Stadium, a state-of-the-art venue for international rugby and football matches, as well as concerts. Next door is Cardiff Arms Park, home to the city’s rugby union team, while Cardiff City FC’s new stadium is in the west.

Cardiff Airport is further west near Barry and Booking.com have an excellent range of hotels, B&Bs and apartments both near there and in the city centre.

This was my second trip to Cardiff, and the first was not in the center. I was delighted to see how vibrant and varied the center of Cardiff truly is. On a rainy day I was able to spend four hours simply visiting the various Victorian era arcades and the Cardiff Market. Incredible variety in the Center, and I was close to the National museum as well as the Castle.

OMG! what has happened to Cardiff?

OMG! what has happened to Cardiff? It is really rundown, since our last visit in May 2023. Derelict and half-empty shopping centres and beggars on the streets! Young Girls with skirts that are too short, it is scary, what they are looking for!, with too much makeup and gangs of young people, looking for trouble all through the centre of the city. Even younger children hanging around the shopping centre, by John Lewis, clearly with nothing to do with their time. Such a sad visit, to see this bright and interesting city, become a place, where I wouldn't feel safe, being a female on my own, in the day, let alone in the evening or at night. Very scary

Cheap hotel (2*) but with a good location (close to the city center and St.Davis shopping mall). Access to Cardiff bay can be done by bus or boat (from Bute Park). The train station is a 10-minute walk away and there are 2 small markets almost in front of the hotel (just cross the avenue)
