We were upgraded to a newly refurbished deluxe room in the Manor itself. It was stunning. The bathroom is gorgeous with a freestanding bath, a double sink unit, and a big shower. The lounge/bar is a really lovely place to relax - lots of squishy sofas and chairs. The restaurant is another lovely space and the food is excellent, as are the staff.

I have stayed here a few times now as I travel long distance to visit family. Staff are always lovely, I could bring my dog, the family room was spacious. I like that it has been renovated. The bar and restaurant is very good

The staff at the Royal Oak are excellent, very friendly and hard working. The food was also very tasty and amazing value for money. Its simple no frills pub food. We had an evening meal and breakfast. The pub is nice with a friendly feel. It is also a very dog frendly property. The walk opposite was excellent for us, exactly what we wanted. The location is also great. This is a budget option compared to others we considered, so it is a little tired in places but on the whole a very clean room and property. The bathroom also look like it had been refurbished recently.
