The staff. The tram and gyle centre is so close. On the map it looks very near the airport. But never heard or saw a plane once. And an hour's walk but short tram ride

FAQs about hotels in Edinburgh

A Feast for the Senses

A city of heritage, heart and of course Hogmanay, Scotland’s capital is vibrant and edgy. Whether or not you come for one of its many festivals, Edinburgh is quite simply a feast for the senses.

The wealth of Edinburgh sights ranges from Holyrood Palace to the Botanical Gardens, Princes Street to the Royal Mile. Overseeing them all is majestic Edinburgh Castle. Be there at sunset on a clear day to see the city below bathed in a warm, orange glow. Simply stunning.

Wandering the streets, the smell of fish and chips wafts by, with the unique twist of salt ‘n’ sauce – a must-try variation on this favourite dish. Follow it up with a smooth whisky and you’ll start to feel like a local.

For a taste of Scottish culture, a kilt-wearing busker often plays the bagpipes on Waverley Bridge, while traditional folk music can be heard in some Old Town pubs. Complete your stay with a rugby match at Murrayfield or a round at one of the city’s 14 golf clubs, and you’ll have the true Edinburgh experience.

Whether you are looking for hotels near Edinburgh Airport or accommodations in the city center, Booking.com has a great range to choose from.

Edinburgh is a walking city but there is great transport over the city if walking isn’t your thing. Loved the walk to Leith along the Leith walk. Don’t miss the Union Canal walk even just a small part. Never enough time to totally explore the city always finding new places and areas l haven’t been before. Only thing that’s disappointing is the prices of accommodation far to high.

Every street in this city offers spectacular architecture and history. We were blown away by the beauty of the buildings and the amount of attractions to visit.. Edinburgh Castle is an absolute must see experience. There are plenty of museums and galleries and green Spaces to enjoy. The hop on hop off bus is terrific and we even managed a day trip to Loch Ness through the Scottish Highlands.

Too crowded. People walking by glued into the phones or stop randomly to take a picture. Message to all insta / tik tok influencers. There are millions of pictures like the one you already taken. There are people living in this city and want to comute to the city without stumblin upon your photo sessions all the time..

Edinburgh is beautiful but we went for a Wedding that was in Glasgow so we could not see Edinburgh properly. Anyone going in the summer months book the hotels in advance. The reason being is even cheap hotels cost so much money.

Fantastic hotel for the money. Second time we have stayed here. Easy access off the bypass and lots of parking although it had doubled to £8 since our last visit. Don’t be put off by the hotels distance from the city centre. There is a tram spot about 100 meters away which takes about 10 minutes to get into the centre of Edinburgh which is excellent. The swimming pool is the perfect size for for a quick dip or if you have small children. Staff are very polite and friendly. Will definitely stay again.

The room was a great size, the bed was comfy and the room and the bathroom were clean. It was a great location to Edinburgh city centre and I was able to walk there easily. It was warm. The hotel provided off street parking for my hire car, which was great, even though apparently I parked it in the wrong spot!
