Very well located hotel, only a couple of minutes walk from Edinburgh Waverley and Princes Street, with Edinburgh Castle also only a 10-15 minute walk away. The hotel itself was clean and modern and the room had everything we needed. Whilst the breakfast was continental only there was a good selection.

FAQs about hotels in Edinburgh

A Feast for the Senses

A city of heritage, heart and of course Hogmanay, Scotland’s capital is vibrant and edgy. Whether or not you come for one of its many festivals, Edinburgh is quite simply a feast for the senses.

The wealth of Edinburgh sights ranges from Holyrood Palace to the Botanical Gardens, Princes Street to the Royal Mile. Overseeing them all is majestic Edinburgh Castle. Be there at sunset on a clear day to see the city below bathed in a warm, orange glow. Simply stunning.

Wandering the streets, the smell of fish and chips wafts by, with the unique twist of salt ‘n’ sauce – a must-try variation on this favourite dish. Follow it up with a smooth whisky and you’ll start to feel like a local.

For a taste of Scottish culture, a kilt-wearing busker often plays the bagpipes on Waverley Bridge, while traditional folk music can be heard in some Old Town pubs. Complete your stay with a rugby match at Murrayfield or a round at one of the city’s 14 golf clubs, and you’ll have the true Edinburgh experience.

Whether you are looking for hotels near Edinburgh Airport or accommodations in the city center, Booking.com has a great range to choose from.

    So much to see!

So much to see! If you love history and castles, this is definitely a place to visit! We were only there for a day and a half. We were able to see all the sights on the Royal Mile, but we did not get to go into them. That would have take all our time. So, if you want to actually explore the castle, palace, kirks, parliament, etc., you will need a much longer visit.

Wonderful city with a lot to see and explore. The only minus is that currently there are really a lot of constructions sites in the city centre. Do recommend hop-on hop-off bus tour for the first day, it gave us hints what to visit next days.

Edinburgh is a very historic city but has a very modern aspects to it. So much to see and do from the theatre to the stand comedy store. The castle is worth a visit but really busy on the day we attended. Looks of different cuisines. You will find something for everyone and all occasions

    Very nice town .

Very nice town . If visiting by car then I recommend using the bus as parking in town and at the castle will be difficult ,You can catch a number 23 bus from just opposite the Brig O Doon guest house .I also recomend a visit to the Royal Yatch Britannia .I think that there is free parking ,but I walked .I also reccomend a boat trip on the Firth of Forth from to Inchcolm Island .

The location was great, only a few mins drive into the city centre with buses every few mins, including one to and from the airport (only takes 10 mins). The staff were so helpful and friendly and the accommodation was stunning. Everything was so clean and comfortable. When we had a problem, they sorted it straight away and ensured we had the best stay possible. I’ve been to Edinburgh several times in the past and this was the best property I’ve stayed at, hands down! This includes a number of chain hotels.

We stayed in a very nice and spacious duplex room with a kitchen. We chose this location because of its proximity to the concert hall O2 Academy. It's an hour's walk from the city centre, but there are no problems with transport. But we discovered non-touristy Edinburgh, full of great and inexpensive pubs and restaurants. The hotel is pet friendly and has a private car park.
