Room and location were superb! Staff were excellent , especially the Reception Team. Having the lemon water dispenser , and also hot chocolate in the afternoon at Reception was great.
Nice touch to have the miniature whiskies as complimentary in the room!
Would definitely recommend the hotel and would return there, next time I go to Edinburgh.

A city of heritage, heart and of course Hogmanay, Scotland’s capital is vibrant and edgy. Whether or not you come for one of its many festivals, Edinburgh is quite simply a feast for the senses.
The wealth of Edinburgh sights ranges from Holyrood Palace to the Botanical Gardens, Princes Street to the Royal Mile. Overseeing them all is majestic Edinburgh Castle. Be there at sunset on a clear day to see the city below bathed in a warm, orange glow. Simply stunning.
Wandering the streets, the smell of fish and chips wafts by, with the unique twist of salt ‘n’ sauce – a must-try variation on this favourite dish. Follow it up with a smooth whisky and you’ll start to feel like a local.
For a taste of Scottish culture, a kilt-wearing busker often plays the bagpipes on Waverley Bridge, while traditional folk music can be heard in some Old Town pubs. Complete your stay with a rugby match at Murrayfield or a round at one of the city’s 14 golf clubs, and you’ll have the true Edinburgh experience.

Edinburgh is a fantastic city with so many things to do and see.
We loved our tour of the castle, attending a church service in St. Giles Cathedral, taking a tour of the Palace of Holyroodhouse, hearing the bagpipers playing along the Royal Mile, eating in various pubs, learning about and seeing about the Greyfriar's Bobby and Kirk, walking down Victoria Street to Grassmarket. The best part, though, was the friendliness of the Scottish people.

Fascinating city with lots of interesting sights and history...
Fascinating city with lots of interesting sights and history. Only main drawback is the huge number of tourists at all the popular sites, and this wasn't peak tourist season. Would probably avoid during school holidays and festival dates, unless you particularly want to visit the Festival.

We have been twice now to Edinburgh.
We have been twice now to Edinburgh. There is always something to see, visit or be part of. Never stuck for something to do. Best thing we have done, is plan our days ahead of our visit. For us things have always run smoother this way. Always throughly enjoy the experiences, and lovely people. Absolutely stunning scenerey all around.
On our second visit we found more convienrient and quicker routes to get around rather than going the long way.

Edinburgh is not like any other city.
Edinburgh is not like any other city. When you are there it’s still feels small . Loads of places to visit and. It too crowded. Trams buses and trains easy to use. Lots of green spaces to rest on the grass.
Picturesque and loads and loads to see. Big attractions to explore . Shops and cafes in abundance and when you walk down the streets if doesn’t feel like a city it’s pleasant and chilled. We went to the playhouse theatre and everybody was really nice and friendly just bustling about. Getting from one attraction to another looking really happy .

Served a purpose as a comfortable base whilst I visited Edinburgh solely for a concert. I wouldn't stay here for a city break, as it's too far removed from Edinburgh city centre, but a comfortable hotel all the same. One major positive I will point out was the quality of service from the staff. After returning from a late finishing concert in the rain, the staff had taken the initiative to provide pizza and tea, as no where else locally was open. A really nice touch!
The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, not too far from Edinburgh city centre, we took a taxi into the city one day and it cost just over £20. The staff were very friendly, the room was clean and the shower was great. We didn’t use the facilities since we were out but they have a wide range of things to do, and the pool is open late. The bar staff were very friendly, and introduced me to my new favourite cocktail!
Use this hotel for regular work visits to Edinburgh, location is very handy for the main part of city centre and rail station, and also easy to get to various parts of the University. Rooms clean and surprisingly quiet for the location. Was happy to be able to check in a couple of hours early.
Really good location for visiting Edinburgh city with a car We were able to leave car at hotel and get bus into city centre £2 each way bus stop just outside hotel buses run every 15 minutes Also nice to walk along Portobello beach in evenings
Breakfast is one of the most georgous one in the europe hotels! I love it! But room window opens to a building, so I dont like the room wiev.. Location is great, in the hart of Edinburgh city centre.
