A remarkable building and exceptional accommodation situated in an oasis of calm in the middle of Newmarket. We stay in lots of hotels every year and this is one we shall remember for a long time. Our suite was large and furnished in a very impressive way. The quality of everything was excellent. Huge amount of convenient parking and a real breakfast cooked to order and served professionally. The staff were all welcoming and friendly as well as offering a standard of care not often found now.

Overall excellent accommodation and very helpful and welcoming staff. Lovely large bedrooms even with air conditioning! I have stayed in 4* accommodation and not been as good as this 3* hotel.
Lovely gardens to sit in by the river. Both breakfast and dinner were very nice and good value.

More than just a country house hotel. Staying in 'Henry' was a great surprise, though I think it might be a bit cosy for two, was perfect for one. The staff were exceptional and extremely accommodating. Would love to come back to stay for pleasure rather than business, if only to check out the cocktail bar!! Food was outstanding too and Michael (co-owner) was very welcoming to a solo traveller and very informative about the hotel and its history.

The cottage is conveniently located and easy to access.
The cottage is conveniently located and easy to access. It's clean and well cared for. The only thing to note is that the toilets are upstairs if you struggle with stairs, this might not be a good location.
