Visiting Glasgow with my 17 year old daughter for the Uni open day.
The bar area felt like a regular pub, with a good atmosphere, great playlist and very helpful staff. Free pool and a chess board kept us entertained before we headed out to the Solid Rock Cafe just around the corner. Clean and quiet and will come bag again if my daughter gets into the uni

Scotland’s largest city, Glasgow combines Victorian architecture and a vibrant arts scene. A former European City of Culture, it is home to many national organisations including the Scottish Ballet and the National Theatre of Scotland. The museums are also world class. Not to be missed are the futuristic-looking Glasgow Science Centre and the eclectic exhibits at the Kelvingrove.
Lined with Georgian buildings, George Square is the city’s focal point and the spot for Glasgow Hogmanay celebrations. Fanning out from here are streets housing venues for the city’s main love: music. From classical concerts to up-and-coming bands, every taste is catered for.
As host of the 2014 Commonwealth Games, Glasgow is also a city of sport. Scotland’s 2 most iconic football clubs - Celtic and Rangers - are based here, as is the national football stadium Hampden Park. The Scottish Football Museum is also an excellent walk through the beautiful game.
Last but not least is the shopping in Glasgow. Shopping centres cover everything from high street brands to international designers. So when you fly into Glasgow Airport, make sure you’ve left enough space in your bags!

I was disappointed to have included this city to visit.
I was disappointed to have included this city to visit. I would have preferred to stay longer in the highlands instead. Doesn’t compare to Edinburgh at all. Skip this city unless you love to visit all kinds of museums. Not much to do in our interests. Spend more time in the countryside anywhere else but here. So much to see and do or simply to relax and get away from the bustling city life

A vibrant city with a mix of people culturally and age wise.
A vibrant city with a mix of people culturally and age wise. Lots of great shops and cafes, and amazing outdoor spaces which are well frequented. It's a very progressive city and has beautiful architecture. I prefer it to Edinburgh and it is not too touristic, and prices are more balanced. Transport links are great.

Using the Big Red hop-on/hop-off bus we managed to get around to pretty much all of the attractions we wanted to see. Highlights were Charles Rene MacIntosh house, Transport museum, Clydeside distillery, Kelvingrove Art gallery, MacTasso street vending stall (Greek food), try and fit in a trip to Falkirk to see the Kelpies and also go on the Falkirk Wheel. A guided city tour is always a great way to get a feel of the history of the place. Totally recommended - could have stayed another couple of days to fit in other locations/attractions.

Lots of green spaces, with period architecture.
Lots of green spaces, with period architecture. It was built by the slave trade, a point made in the Kelvingrove Museum. I also recommend Glasgow Botanic Garden. I could’ve spent more time there.
Plenty of café’s and restaurants to suit every budget. As a vegan, I particularly recommend Suissi in Partick and Giannaro’s Fish & Chip shop next to Anniesland Station (vegan options). Very easy to get around on the Circle (£1.85 flat rate), Scotrail and good bus service.

In short hilly for the disabled.Buses had tap in and tap out which was confusing after other cities.Nobody knew where The Catholic Cathedral was nor did they in my hotel.People friendly in the main. How about banning mobile telephones and keeping laptops on silent?Glasgow, be a trend setter for a peaceful relaxed ambience.Airport full of efficious staff. Not pleasant.Train next time.

The hotel was walkable distance to the city centre and a variety of restaurants. Kevingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Park and the University of Glasgow. The room was not like the pictures on the profile but it still look good and clean. The room was spacious, had sufficient storage for a short stay, clean and spacious bathroom with good hot water flow. The guest house is generally clean. The reception was in the building across and the host was really friendly. There is a lot of parking around the area and it is free between 6pm to 8am.
An excellent hotel that is great value. Rooms were very clean and nicely designed, great location in the west end opposite Kelvingrove park and museum.. Locally lots of nice restaurants and bars within a few minutes walk and the city centre also within walking distance.
The staff here were very friendly, attentive and professional and the breakfast buffet was very good. Highly recommended for a stay in the west end of Glasgow.
The location in the city centre across from Glasgow Central train station we couldn't believe how soundproof the building was even though there were pubs all around the hotel and a bar and bowling alley on the 7th floor you couldn't hear a thing. Very comfortable bed and pillow, great bathroom facilities.
We highly recommend staying here !!!
Staff were all very friendly, helpful & accommodating. Nice small hotel convenient for Buchanan St Bus Station & also the city centre. Had a lovely dinner & breakfast in the morning was really excellent. Will visit again if travelling by bus to Glasgow.
Quality hotel in the centre of Glasgow - good size room and bathroom with a bath. Excellent staff who are friendly and very helpful. Restaurant for breakfast on the top floor with a view over the city centre
