Room. Beautiful room and very comfortable. Check-in was very helpful and I was allowed to check in early, which was helpful. The arrangements for parking a car were also great. I ate breakfast in the hotel and enjoyed it a lot.

Location is the biggest benefit! Close to the bus stop to and from the airport, public storage parking just opposite, theatres and concert halls very nearby, city shopping just a hundred meters away. Very clean, housekeeping for the rooms was fantastic. Room was expectedly compact but with enough space for two people and nights. Water supply, i.e. water pressure and temperature excellent, water quality good enough for drinking. High level of amenities supply in the room (dove brand). Very friendly and helpful staff - thank you to all of you keeping things running and making the stay at your hotel a pleasant experience.

FAQs about hotels in Glasgow

Fun-Loving and Forward Thinking

Scotland’s largest city, Glasgow combines Victorian architecture and a vibrant arts scene. A former European City of Culture, it is home to many national organisations including the Scottish Ballet and the National Theatre of Scotland. The museums are also world class. Not to be missed are the futuristic-looking Glasgow Science Centre and the eclectic exhibits at the Kelvingrove.

Lined with Georgian buildings, George Square is the city’s focal point and the spot for Glasgow Hogmanay celebrations. Fanning out from here are streets housing venues for the city’s main love: music. From classical concerts to up-and-coming bands, every taste is catered for.

As host of the 2014 Commonwealth Games, Glasgow is also a city of sport. Scotland’s 2 most iconic football clubs - Celtic and Rangers - are based here, as is the national football stadium Hampden Park. The Scottish Football Museum is also an excellent walk through the beautiful game.

Last but not least is the shopping in Glasgow. Shopping centres cover everything from high street brands to international designers. So when you fly into Glasgow Airport, make sure you’ve left enough space in your bags!

Kelvingrove Museum, neighbouring university, riverside museum and GOMA, as well as all the smaller arts centres, theatres, and excellent whisky pubs, proved that Glasgow offers much more than football rivalries.

It was mainly a family visit but I did walk down memory lane. Kelvin Art Gallery and Museum as good as any in the world. Govan new bridge was great to cross and see opening with a visit to the Transport Museum. Glasgow Cathedral and Tomb of St Mungo was a great visit with option to see the oldest house in Glasgow. The Subway was the main transport to the locations visited. So many other things I did not get done. Had a great fish and chips from the Blue Lagoon but if you want a hot cuppa bring your own mug or reusable as it is not the same to drink from a blue plastic cup.

Location was very convenient as we arrived in Glasgow by train, and hotel was only a couple of minutes walk away. The location was great for the city centre. View from oyr room over the city was great. When checking in we were asked about preference for whether we wanted higher of lower floor and we were put on the same floor as family members whci was appreciated.
