Not to be missed are the futuristic-looking Glasgow Science Centre and the eclectic exhibits at the Kelvingrove.

We had arranged a walking tour - which was a two hour interesting potted history of Glasgow. We did a fair amount on the hop on, hop off buses. Kelvingrove Museum is a must and you can easily spend a whole day there.Regrettably we didnt manage to get to the Willow Tea rooms. The Maritime Centre is also worth a visit - showing transport through the ages and how life has changed. You can easily spent a few hours there.
We also found some very interesting restaurants particularly "La Lanterna" near Central Station and Piccolo Mondo also nearby. Good breakfasts in many cafes. Beware - George Square is currently cordoned off for refurbishment so it's difficult to know exactly where your walking tour guide might be!

The Walking Tour was a great way to find out a lot about Glasgow and to see the main sites. Our guide was excellent and suggested other places to visit.
There are many museums and art galleries to visit. Such as Kelvingrove and the park. The botanical gardens are a delight with large greenhouses.
We walked everywhere but there is a subway, buses and 2 railway stations.
The street art is amazing. Look out for it on the sides of buildings.

Glasgow has a lot of wonderful history and very interesting architecture, there is lots to see and do and is well worth a visit to explore all it has to offer.
I particularly loved the ship building history on the River Clyde and visiting the Transport Museum.
The only let down for me was the absolute abundance of graffiti and litter everywhere, such a shame as it spoils what is otherwise a beautiful city.
The transport system to get around the City and to / from the Airport is fantastic and there’s absolutely no shortage of shops of all varieties and places to eat.
Glasgow is well worth a visit in my opinion.

We stayed here before my October graduation in 2024. We loved the ease of check-in, balcony room, complimentary lounge bar and roof top restaurant. The staff were very pleasant and friendly. The close proximity to the Glasgow Concert Hall made this hotel the perfect place to stay for the weekend. Waxy O'Connor's can be accessed via an in-hotel 'secret' door to live music there every night. The city centre location is brilliant with loads of bars and restaurants around every corner.
Stayed here a good few times, good hotel in a central location of Glasgow, £54 per night with breakfast for the city centre is a great price, arrived around 1pm and was given an early checkin which was very much appreciated, room was nice and clean, bed comfortable, bathroom good size, would stay again no problem
