The Maldron Hotell meets my concept of a modern 4 stars hotel. The room was big enough to be able to keep you luggage without blocking your movements. The bathroom had a modern shower with hot water immediately available. The strongbox was easy to use. There were enough electric plugs to charge my devices and it was possible to turn off all the lights from the buttons next to the bed. The bed itself was incredibly comfortable and it was a pleasure sleeping in it. My room was on a secondary road, so I didn't have all the traffic under it (even if it was just a few meters aways), but it was silent and I could sleep properly all night.

FAQs about hotels in Glasgow

Fun-Loving and Forward Thinking

Scotland’s largest city, Glasgow combines Victorian architecture and a vibrant arts scene. A former European City of Culture, it is home to many national organisations including the Scottish Ballet and the National Theatre of Scotland. The museums are also world class. Not to be missed are the futuristic-looking Glasgow Science Centre and the eclectic exhibits at the Kelvingrove.

Lined with Georgian buildings, George Square is the city’s focal point and the spot for Glasgow Hogmanay celebrations. Fanning out from here are streets housing venues for the city’s main love: music. From classical concerts to up-and-coming bands, every taste is catered for.

As host of the 2014 Commonwealth Games, Glasgow is also a city of sport. Scotland’s 2 most iconic football clubs - Celtic and Rangers - are based here, as is the national football stadium Hampden Park. The Scottish Football Museum is also an excellent walk through the beautiful game.

Glasgow is a tale of different feel and sights.

Glasgow is a tale of different feel and sights. Centrally is buzzing with activities, the buildings are architecturally exquisite oozing with history. Great food destination as well. University of Glasgow is a must to see, they are know for picturesque and film worthy buildings, academic excellence and free museums. The people are friendly in this city, I feel safe wherever I am.

Love, love love. The people make Glasgow, full stop.

Love, love love. The people make Glasgow, full stop. Friendly, polite, cheerful, helpful. Everyone we met apart from the hotel receptionist was a pure joy. Glasgow is and feels real. People live here. It's not touristy. It's gritty, it's got a great personality, there are so many interesting areas and we barely scratched the surface. Can not wait to come back. But we'll be staying someplace else.

Been to Glasgow a number of times to visit family and there's always new places to visit and things to do! We had a great vintage shopping trip and planned a route to visit the thrift shops in the city centre (West Vintage is great!) and over the river near Queen's Park. Got the bus from the city centre to Braeburn Arena to watch the UK Strongman Final. The arena is in a great shopping mall for more shops and the arena is usually an ice skating rink. We tried a few new places to eat including Bread Meats Bread (burgers & poutine), Topolabamba (lovely Mexican small plates) and across the river is Koko House (amazing souffle pancakes, cash only). Had a giant Scottish breakfast at Spitfire Espresso on the High St. Found a cute little beer shop near our accommodation on the High St, going towards Glasgow Cathedral called the Pursuit of Hoppyness. They do all sorts of canned ales, stouts as well as make their own skincare products to buy. Very quirky shop!

Glasgow is a wonderful city with the nicest people ever.

Glasgow is a wonderful city with the nicest people ever. There is so much to do and see, plenty of shopping and fun nightlife. Getting around was easy via walking and we also used Uber. We stayed on High Street at the Tolbooth Apartments and it was a perfect location for easily getting around. We loved O'Neill's bar, Blackfriars of Bells bar, Artrez coffee shop and shopping on Argyll Street and Buchanan Street.

The property is situated in a busy suburb of Glasgow with a 10/15 minute stroll into the city centre. Check in and check out couldn’t be easier, with a very friendly warm welcome at reception with Rumy, Mohammed was exceptionally helpful in helping us to locate parking in the local area. The hotel is quiet, clean and warm. The room was spacious and well presented. The bathroom was very clean with an excellent rain fall shower ( one of the best I’ve tried)The area has lots of eateries and bars
