Place was in a beautiful setting and a perfect overnight stay of travelling from Stansted airport. However, there was no mirror in the lodge and when I brought this up with reception they said they were new and it was something they were getting which is great but didn’t help us for our stay. The tv didn’t work and again this was brought up with reception. I was told that someone would be round and after 2 1/2 hours I went back to reception only to be told it had been logged but they were busy. No one came at all and on check out when this was mentioned the different receptionist had no idea of the issue.

Everything was outstanding. The reception I got when I arrived was just lovely. A lovely girl couldn’t have made me feel more welcome. The bed was so comfortable. Food amazing. They had stoped food when I arrived but they made me a sandwich to take to my room. It was like a meal in itself. It was delicious. I honestly couldn’t recommend this hotel highly enough.

cannot comment as reception was closed when my driver arrived so did not stay at the accommodation. Luckily there was a room available at an alternative local hotel
