We really liked the staff. They were kind and helpful and great energy. The breakfast was really good in the morning. My friend could have his first English Breakfast! Our room was very spacious and the soaps provided were great.

Excellent rooms, very well equipped with beautiful decor and coffee machine. Super comfy beds. The lobby, restaurant and bar had a great atmosphere and the breakfast was delicious. Super friendly staff and kids are welcome. Highly recommend.

Thorncliffe Cottage is located in Tideswell, just 22 miles from FlyDSA Arena and 26 miles from Capesthorne Hall. The 4-star vacation home is 10 miles from Chatsworth House.

I loved the professionalism and friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness and luxury feel of the property, the amazing location right in the heart of Buxton (you can walk to everything and 2 beautiful parks are just outside the door), the INCREDIBLE breakfast, and of course--the amazing spa/waters. The room we had (203) was also really nice in terms of size and amenities, but the location of the room wasn't ideal (see below). We have stayed here previously and loved it then, and it was nice to see the service, quality and condition of the hotel has not diminished in the slightest. I absolutely will not stay anywhere else when I visit Buxton--I like it that much (just choose the right room location)!

Lovely room, nicely decorated with big comfortable sleigh bed & soft cosy bedlinen. The bathroom was a good size with a spacious shower & fluffy towels. There were lots of extras in the room which was a nice touch ie, varied tea/ coffee, biscuits, chocolate, hairdryer & straighteners, iron & board, umbrella, travel essentials in the bathroom. The pub itself was traditionally quaint & obviously popular. We ate there twice & the menu was interesting & the food very good. Friendly & efficient staff.
