Loved how quirky the building is and how much attention went into every detail - little hand written notes, a lounge room with tea, coffee and snacks. The staff are absolutely wonderful, so friendly. Breakfast included and was delicious, and the pub for dinner was also one of the best I’ve had in the uk. Highly recommend

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Berry's charming BnB, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. He went above and beyond to provide helpful recommendations for local attractions and dining options, which truly enhanced ourvisit. His warm and friendly demeanor made every interaction a delight. The breakfast was a highlight, with a delicious and fresh selection that catered to all tastes. It was the perfect way to start the day! Although the reason for my visit this time was a sad one; I...

Although the reason for my visit this time was a sad one; I still enjoyed my brief trip - apart from the M25…. Other than catching up with more family than I knew I had, the other highlight was my “pilgrimage” to Dungeness with a stop off at the Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway at New Romney Station - always worth a visit no matter how short. The Canterbury Lodge was an unexpected delight - from the lady host: Lisa, to the 4poster bed to the excellent breakfast - only downside was the marmalade! Travel around Kent is not easy, mainly due to the interminable roadworks - so a bit of planning with a map is a good idea, along with local traffic reports &/or a satnav’ that knows where it’s going…. Do try to put the prospect of the return trip via the Dartford Tunnel to the back of your mind for as long as possible.

Spoiled for choice for coffee shops and good restaurants.

Spoiled for choice for coffee shops and good restaurants. But book ahead for dinner. The Shell Grotto is well worth a visit and good gift shop attached. The Turner Gallery is free to visit and the exhibit was excellent and the David Hockney window amazing but only one Turner to see - surely could have a few more? Easy to get to from London and trains on time and comfortable.

We visited Otford and is a delightful village with beautiful buildings, a large open space, quaint shops, Hilal restaurant and The Olive tree are a must. The church is a lovely place to see too. There is a pub, The Bull, which we didn't visit but had a great garden area if the weather is being kind. There is also an amazing antique shop full of lots of treasures from top to bottom.

The property is in a very quiet peaceful location.

The property is in a very quiet peaceful location. We were able to walk in the beautiful countryside without using our car the whole time. The nearby village of Chiddingstone is a short walk away where there is a pub and village shop.

We enjoyed the town of tenterden having everything anyone...

We enjoyed the town of tenterden having everything anyone would need. We done self catering and had the choice of two supermarkets and a small market during our stay. While we were here for a wedding we didn't have a lot of time to go further afield but overhall we enjoyed the countryside around.

We attended for an event.

We attended for an event. The accommodation was perfect as near to the beach as we could get. I enjoyed watching various vessels with binoculars from the top floor of our accommodation. There was plenty of places to eat and we loved eating in the wonderful outdoor places before the Harbour Arm. The scenery was beautiful and everyone was very accommodating. I would love to go again but stay longer. We didn't travel really once there as there was everything we wanted where we were within walking distance.
