Bar & restaurant for dinner and breakfast was fantastic. Food was very yummy and their own house summer gin delicious. Perfect views at the rear of the building. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Fantastic little building in an excellent location for exploring Cornwall and devon. Bedroom was basic but comfortable and clean. Would happily stay again.

We had an excellent stay in the cosy little hut. Rural location that you'll need transport for but places to eat within a 20min walk and basic cooking facilities in the room allow you to self cater. Enjoyed our stay here more than other far more expensive stops on our trip.

We have relatives nearby which we were visiting hence our stay. Launceston is good in parts, not many pubs served food bit it was awash wit takeaways. Not suitable for anyone with limited mobility as the town has steep hills. Tesco etc has killed all the small independents which used to be in the town

Good pubs, Red Lion in Trewint a must.
Good pubs, Red Lion in Trewint a must. Lovely town centre in Bude, can drive to Davidstowe and Boscastle, amongst other places. Heaps to do, stunning countryside for walks, definitely chocolate box. Breathtaking coastline. It's wonderful to have both countryside and coastline on offer 😁

Typical Cornish town, recommend Francine’s fish and chips for fast efficient service with a smile.
The roads are narrow and it can get congested in a car but if you’re on holiday patience is key, enjoy

We were a 20 minute drive from Launceston in beautiful countryside. We used Launceston for self catering shopping. There is a castle, church and narrow gauge steam railway,
Launceston is well placed. For the A30 for day trips to the many wonderful attractions along the coast.

Launceston, is a lovely town, with great views and lots of things to do. It has a lot of history to it and needs a few days to explore.
There are also lots of places to stop in for a cup of coffee and something to eat

A very run down little town , but beautiful surrounding areas such as crackington , Bude & Padstow definitely all worth a visit .Fantastic pub & resturant /cafe in Crackington right on the beach front excellent food & service .
I loved everything about this property. It has everything you’ll need for your stay, fully equipped kitchen if you plan on cooking. There is a small shop in the village of Polyphant but it you’re staying for a time you’d probably want to go to Tesco’s in Launceston. We had relatives near by so didn’t require a car, but if you’re traveling to the Shippon you’d probably want one. The Cornish countryside is exquisite and the views from our room didn’t disappoint.
It was a little gem in the middle of Cornwall. We were welcomed by two friendly dogs. Julie welcomed us with a smile and she advised us about the local road. It is about 2 hours from well famous destinations such as St. Ives, Fowey, and more. The room was so convenient and had a little fridge with some milk, wine, and refreshments. Ideally for couples and families.
We definitely recommend it.
What a delightful hotel, the building was fantastic, I had a super comfortable room, and the food was exceptional. The Gin distilled on site was very very good and I enjoyed having my evening meal, accompanied with a lovely GnT. The staff were super helpful and made me feel very welcome.
I arrived much earlier than the advertised check-in time and the helpful staff allowed me to use my room.
A hotel that makes it own gin! Guaranteed a win! Great location, stunning views, free parking, good food. Terri is the host with the most! Lovely waitress serving a very good breakfast too. Oh and did I mention they make their own gin!?! Make sure you visit Dingles Fairground Museum a few minutes up the road - vintage fairground fun for everyone!
Loved the location and was very well set up by the owners from a private caravan site for only about 7 to tastefully decorated rooms in the house, which were very comfortable and a decent size. We were made very welcome and the breakfast choice was superb. Would definitely return again.
Absolutely great place that I would highly recommend for short or long stay. Place is beatuful, area is amazing, host superb. Most wondering was hosts attention to details. I haven't seen something like this for a long time. Thank you for a great time we spent in this lodge.
Lovely hotel and staff location was perfect just off the A30 , which give easy access to the whole if Cornwall. Great golf course unfortunately husband didn’t bring his clubs this time as we were visiting family but will definitely bring next time.
We had a fabulous stay for our 3 nights here! Communication with James was excellent and the space was perfect with such lovely touches. Amazing value for money and we would 100% recommend to others looking for a base to explore Cornwall and Devon.
Friendliness, and good for local points of interest.
The owners know the area so well and were so happy to help.
A very quiet location, yet less than 15 mins from launceston and 20 mins from crackington
My hosts could not have been more friendly and helpful.
Everything was spotlessly clean .
Lovely county location ,but only 10 minutes from Launceston.
This was my second stay , I will be back
A warm welcome from Jude on arrival. Ivy Cottage is situated in an excellent location for travelling Cornwall. A lovely, well appointed, accomodation. Would thoroughly recommend.
