Stylish, Stately and A Shopping Haven!
Between Bronte Country and the Yorkshire Dales, Leeds is a stately city with a wealth of impressive Georgian and Victorian buildings. The most celebrated is the town hall, a Grade I-listed gem with a huge clock tower supported by columns. Just around the corner is the understated Leeds Cathedral, and between the two is Millennium Square, a large urban space that plays host to outdoor concerts and a German Christmas market.
Shopping in Leeds is fantastic. Kirkgate Market is Europe’s largest covered market, and the magnificent, round Corn Exchange is home to exclusive boutiques. The city also has the first Harvey Nichols outside of London, as well as the usual high street brands.
As home to 2 large universities, Leeds has a young and vibrant vibe. It has repeatedly been voted the clubbing capital of the UK and is home to the Leeds Festival, an annual music event that attracts thousands.
The city also has excellent sporting pedigree. Internationals are held at Headingley cricket ground, and Leeds United FC and the Leeds Rhinos rugby league team are well-known names in their fields.
On the outskirts of the city are wonderful Roundhay Park, Kirkstall Abbey and Leeds-Bradford International Airport. Leeds accommodation on Booking.com covers all areas of this elegant city.

First time in Leeds. I went specifically for the Royal Armouries and was not disappointed. Spent 2 days there.
Victorian architecture in the centre is superb.
Left the car at NCP for 5 days and used cheap buses to Bradford (Industrial Museum) and York (Minster undercroft exhibition is superb).

We are fairly local to Leeds so this was a night away (mainly to use our Ivy points before they expired). For first time visitors, I would probably recommend a couple of nights for the City centre attractions and longer if exploring further afield (Harewood House, etc).

I found some areas of the city were confusing in their layout and I got rather lost a couple of times, despite having a map and a phone. They seem to have a great variety of buses and the biggest bus station I have seen! I would advise taking notes e.g. road names when walking about for the first time. Angles of roads at junctions do not always appear as they do on maps. The medical museum was interesting. The location and facilities of the Christian conference centre were great! Also a lovely Catholic Cathedral .

Leeds has this amazing blend of modern and old architecture. At times I thought I was in London due to the modern feel to the streets and amenities. This is a student town with student accommodations almost everywhere-very diverse population.
Plenty of restaurants in town for all taste buds.
People in Leeds are very friendly and always so helpful. I felt safe at all times.
I absolutely recommend for football games, University destination or just on holidays.

Leeds was a great space to explore and well located for days trips. I took the train the Scarborough, Harrogate Knarsebrough and York. I was even able to pop to Manchester for an evening to see one of my tops bands live! Leeds was really lovely and exceeded my expectations. People were friendly and the city was lovely to walk to. As I stayed centrally, I got around on foot as I found Leeds very walkable. The architecture of the buildings were lovely too. I enjoyed the corn exchange but went twice as it was very busy on the weekend. The John Lewis centre was very modern and full of great shops. The train station was easy to navigate. Highly recommend the Royal Amouries Museum too for a lovely free day out.

I was born in Leeds.
I was born in Leeds. So when I go back to visit I generally go visiting family and friends. I do love Leeds and there is plenty of things to do when visiting. I only go for two nights so not enough time to go to all the sites on this page. Did go when i lived there. Worth going as there is something for every age group. Lots of restaurants, shops for clothes and night time places to go drinking and dancing. There are lots of hotels and they have made the centre of the city a great place to sit outside having a meal and a drink with no cars going past.

The design of the room was excellent for a budget price. It took a while to work out the lighting and heating controls but the bed was comfortable and I slept very well.The shower was well designed but could have had a movable section.I liked the black-out blinds.. The hotel was in a part of Leeds I don't know but i got to my destination in the city centre quickly with an Uber. I could also walk to The Calls restaurants easily.

I've stayed here before as the ,location is excellent for the Arena, Millenium Square and city centre. The hotel has always been good and especially the proximity of the car park which you get a discounted price, however previously the breakfast has let the hotel down. Now this has changed and this is excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel for a break in Leeds. The overall price these days was excellent too.

Friendly receptionist on arrival and we managed to get a complementary upgrade. Hotel in a great location, right next to the canal and Leeds City Centre. The Skylounge was great, especially the service we received from Jacob. Would 💯 recommend.
