AustriaAs a frequent business traveller worldwide I was enjoying this hotel every minute. The location. The facility. I like the classic wood design, the interior, the floors. The bath room was big, bright, shiny white - looked like brand new. Maybe it was? Even the classic manual room key :-). Nice and friendly staff. The Italian restaurant ('1931') was marvellous. Unfortunately I had not time to try the bar 🍺. Maybe next time.

I think Liverpool is a great city.
I think Liverpool is a great city. There's lots to see and do within walking distance. Plenty of bus and taxi tours if walking is too much. Loads of different eateries. The locals are really friendly. Everywhere was clean and tidy. We could have done with staying a few more days.
We really enjoyed live music at The Cavern Club. The Beatles Museum opposite is very good. We did the Liver Building Tour which was good. The waterfront is interesting. The One Area development has a multitude of shops and restaurants.

Liverpool is my place of birth so yes, I can recommend my city to anyone who wants to pay a visit. Albert Dock has plenty of eateries, I can highly recommend "Gustos" an Italian Restaurant, their Sunday Roasts were plentiful and the Yorkshire Puddings were to die for. The people of Liverpool are friendly, smiling and helpful.
The shops in the city are plentiful especially Liverpool One which has several "named" designer shops.
Both football teams have stores in the city, so supporters can shop to their hearts content.
It is easy to get around the city, plenty of buses available, there are also the tour buses that take you to places you might have missed. Take a trip in an ex-military "Duck" and tour the docks and then splash down into the waterways and canals that surround the once full warehouses but now are expensive city apartments.
The city is famous for The Beatles, Cilla Black, Gerry and the Pacemakers, Billy Fury and many more. The Cavern is not to be missed, most afternoons local bands play, in the evenings a live top billing star usually performs, but you have to buy tickets early.
We have two Cathedrals, several theatres, there is access to the very top of the Liver Building, on the docks, we also have a big wheel which offers tremendous views of the city and of course, two football clubs Liverpool FC and Everton LC - if anyone asks who do you support the answer is "a Red" for LFC and "a blue" for Everton. Whole families will support one team or another. I am a "Red"

So much to see. It was the Liver Building tour this time.
So much to see. It was the Liver Building tour this time. Excellent but make sure you can do steps. Shopping areas are good. Good transport links by bus or the underground which we use to visit family in Hoylake.
The docks area and museums are worth a visit.
I just love the magnificent buildings. There is something for everyone.

There is plenty to do for everyone in this city.
There is plenty to do for everyone in this city. The Waterfront is very attractive with hotels.shops. restaurants, bars, boat trips. A trip on the Mersey Ferry comes with a ticket for the Beatles tour and an unlimited hop on hop off which is good value. The city is easy to walk around. I found it a very friendly place. The Music Museum is really interesting about music in the area since 1946 and you can re-use your ticket for the next 12 months - another reason to re-visit the city. I did not have enough time to go into the main museum but it looks really interesting, has a nice cafe and is free (I think).

Have visited Liverpool several times.
Have visited Liverpool several times. Love the waterfront and Albert dock area. Plenty of good places to eat with every type of food choice. Lots of walking so did the ferry, for a sit down. Lovely calm trip.
Loads of Beatle stuff besides the famous Cavern,
The museum has a great exhibition about famous Liverpool people.

A great place for museums and shops.
A great place for museums and shops. Lots of history and not just The Beatles. A nice city with nice people and great transport links, including the overnight ferry to Belfast. The city should be proud of Albert Dock, it's come a long way over the decades.

The location of the hotel is great- close to city centre and docks- plenty of options for eating out and drinks. Only about a 10 minute walk from Liverpool Lime Street station. Room was clean and quiet. Staff kept our luggage for us as we arrived earlier than check-in- this was free of charge.
