Location of the St Giles is excellent and so convenient. Rooms were fine - we were only there for one night. It was very hot and had to leave the window open so this did make the room noisy as we were only on the 3rd floor. But, the room was comfy and clean.

The hotel is very nice, clean and quiet, was informed there was also a spar which we unfortunately did not have time to use. While it was a good 10-15 min walk from canery warf with not many shops or bars near by, it is well suited to getting to the O2

This is a one off trip to show popular London sites and the British Museum to the kids. Otherwise, I avoid London. It is not worth paying loads of money for being in a hectic, noisy, dusty, overcrowded place. Astana, the capital city of Kazakhstan, is a much better option if you are looking for culture, beautiful architecture and well-behaved healthy-looking people. Top-quality ballet productions, musicals, operas are no more than £5 per ticket. Culture is subsidized as it should be. This is why the level of education, propriety and safety is much higher in Kazakhstan and other former Soviet states. It is a shame that the United Kingdom does not allocate sufficient resources to support education and various cultural endeavours for its population.

London offers a great variety of things to do for all interests. Some highlights include exploring iconic landmarks like the Tower of London and Buckingham Palace, strolling through vibrant neighborhoods like Camden and Notting Hill, shopping at local markets like Borough or Portobello Road (on a Saturday), and enjoying the city's many parks. My personal favorites were visiting the Science Museum, the Natural History Museum, and the National Gallery. I also really enjoyed crossing the Thames using local transportation—it’s a scenic and fun way to see the city. Watching The Lion King musical in the Lyceum Theatre was a truly unforgettable experience. Borough Market was a nice stop for food and atmosphere, though it was quite crowded. Greenwich Market, on the other hand, felt more relaxed and charming, and a walk through Greenwich Park was the perfect way to spend a sunny afternoon.

Spitalfields and Whitechapel (the two places we stayed) were very convenient. However, they were both very dirty! There were bags of rubbish piled up, and some had split open and the rubbish was spilling out. Market streets had litter strewn all over them after the markets had gone. There was lots of litter from fast foods and packaging from vapes. So many people were vaping and smoking!

There is a lot to see and do in London, so use the public transport to get around where and when you can to save on a lot of walking. A tip would be to download an underground app to help know what train to get on .. I used one called mapway but there are plenty to choose from. Make a list of where you want to go and have a plan as it will help to ensure you get to see everything you want to and plan a route and enjoy your visit.

I lived in London for 2 years 30+ years ago but I took my 24yo son to explore what London has. We loved it and saw so much but still ran out of time. He now want to some back with his gf for an extended trip. The Lancaster Gate Hotel O's perfectly located to access all the public transport options or walk if inclined. It was the ideal location for us. The hotel is clean with great facilities and fantastic staff.

The property and its facilities were spotless. The property is conveniently situated to Guys Hospital and having a private apartment was germanr to my stay. Despite there being many apartments within the overall development it remained very quiet throughout my stay. I would use Marlin Apartments more often when in London if ( and in fairness in common with other hotels) dynamic pricing was not so evident I would have no hesitation in recommending Marlin Apartments.

The hotel is nice and the location have an easy access to London center and Canary Wharf via Elisabeth Line. Also the access is direct with Heathrow airport via Elisabeth Line, it is needed around one hour. The breakfast is very good comparing with other hotels in England. The hotel area is quiet and it is nice for a small walk.
