The location was excellent. The hotel was conveniently located near a major underground station and numerous bus stops. We only used public transport during our stay, and we had no problem getting anywhere we wanted. Three restaurants on site, and VQ operates 24 hours. We loved VQ, and the ladies working there were super friendly. We had breakfast once at Cuccina, but we felt the options were not optimal. I would suggest not booking with breakfast and instead try the different restaurants onsite or around the hotel. You always have the option to pay for breakfast at the hotel.

The hotel is in a fantastic location, easy access to central London. Our room was lovely and clean. Shower was actually good! Usually the pressure is rubbish in big hotels but it was really good. We got a free upgrade and a bottle of champagne for our anniversary which was most appreciated. Breakfast was great with two areas so not a massive queue to wait for hot food.

This property exceeded my expectations. We arrived in at 1am after a long day of travelling and the staff were so friendly and welcoming to us. I felt safe and comfortable in my room and knew the staff would be willing to help if needed. The services at the hotel were 10/10 and the room was super clean! I was also impressed with all the features with the lighting, curtains and heating system too. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone and will be back one day! Location is great with plenty of shops around and sites to see are in walking distance.

London is a fantastic place to experience different cultures and see the arts! We went to see The Lion King Musical and it was so good we looked up to come back and see it again! There are so many markets with amazing food with lots of options in them! Everywhere we walked there was some part of history around us. I always plan and map out where I want to go or what to see before I go anywhere and with London having so much we prioritised our favourites as we were only there for a short stay. I highly recommend The Park Plaza at Waterloo Hotel to stay. Definitely see a musical and enjoy the atmosphere around you.

Great visit, saw a Shakespeare play at The Globe-Romeo and Juliet-visited the TAte Modern, saw Trooping the colour, saw St. Paul’s and Westminster Abbey. Saw gypsy horse and cart racing. Visited The National Gallery, went to see Beyoncé and went to Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square and Leicester Square all in one weekend. Oh and Downing Street.

    Bus system confusing.

Bus system confusing. It took the advice of five bus drivers to tell me which bus to take from Trefilgar Square to London Bridge. When we finally got on the bus, we requested for the driver to tell us when to get off to get to the bridge and he did not. The city is amazing the busses well…not that day.

The reason for our visit was to attend the Lionel Ritchie...

The reason for our visit was to attend the Lionel Ritchie Show at the O2, so we picked a Hotel in Canary Wharf, which is a good place to visit if staying in the area. We had the bonus of watching Trooping the Colours, which is an ideal way of advertising the Army in London! The best part of our trip was an enjoyable couple of journeys on the Thames' Clippers. This proved to be far better than the Underground and/or buses. We had a great meal in an Italian restaurant near Trafalgar Square one day. The only negative for the weekend was how difficult it was to travel on the tube - on one occasion we couldn't get on board as it was so full and busy; on another occasion the tube doors couldn't close, again because of so many passengers in the doorway.

Always worth visiting London, and the weather has been fine and kind this time. Tube and rail are noisy, sweaty and busy, but efficient (regular rail - not Gatwick Express - from Gatwick is fast, sensibly priced, and stops at Clapham Junction as well as Waterloo (or Victoria?). Great range of museums, shopping, galleries - check out new find - Teahouse Theatre (for relaxed and delicious tea - not coffee - or food - great experience) in Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens. We also visited 'The Coal Drops', a reconstructed industrial area to walk around and enjoy the canal-side scene, shopping and food. And don't miss the Tower of London - our daughter works there!

    Loved the sights.

Loved the sights. Camden Town, Tower of London being particular favourites. We ate at "Wendy's" where there was plenty of seating upstairs and the prices were very budget friendly. Fries there are delicious! We travelled up from The West Midlands by train, & once in London we used the London Red Buses, Uber Taxi's and London Underground system (Tube) to get around cheaply and easily. Will return, lots to see and do!

The Holiday Inn in Kensington London is in a fantastic location, the underground is around the corner from the hotel therefore it is so easy to return after an excursion, there are so many great shops, cafes and restaurants in the area that you will be spoilt for choice during your stay; if you need a bank or the post office they are also conveniently situated not too far from the hotel. The hotel is comfortable and clean, the staff were helpful and efficient. A great place to stay!
