It was very cosy and welcoming every little detail had been thought about. It was fascinating to hear about how Mark had built each one of the lodges himself and it was clear that he had thought of everything very carefully. The children loved the cozy upstairs sleeping area

The location is beautiful, and there's so much to do bikes, boats, table tennis, pool table and a very lovely BBQ area we came on our own but will definitely be back with the kids! Fantastic evening.

There is so much history on this side of Suffolk, the smallest pub in England is not too far away and there are too many churches to count. John Constable the great British plein air painter referred to it as gods own country and with good reason.

It was the most unclean health hazard place I have ever been to . From stain on the carpet to knob of unit with screw sticking out . Un clean kitchen to things moulding in a bin in the kitchen .
Yellow toilet seat with god knows what filth was around the rim .
To the outside so over grown you couldn’t get to the summer house which obviously hadn’t been cleaned for months cobwebs all over it . Piles of mouldy dog poo and it topped it off with a dead decomposed rat . Then them not to give us our money back disgrace-full. The neighbour told us it was a rat run they always have problems 🤮

We love the traditional feel of the Bull.
We love the traditional feel of the Bull. A wonderful old coaching Inn which exudes character. The staff are excellent and the food, both breakfast and dinner does not disappoint. Long Melford is a great base to visit the area around including Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds, Sudbury and Southwold. Long Melford itself has a high street consisting of eateries and independent shops. A lovely place to stay for a relaxing break.

Come by this place by accident and how very pleased we did, what a charming place with such lovely people. Lots of local history, two Manor houses and a church to visit and although we didn't have time to, will definitely revisit

Long Melford is a beautiful historic town with lots to see and do. A lovely part of Suffolk. I would recommend a stay in Long Melford and a visit to Melford Hall and Kentwell, plus all the lovely little cafes and shops. Would not recommend The Cock and Bell for food or good service as both were appalling. Bad staff and crap food.

It was a lovely, cozy, comfortable and well equipped cottage with everything we needed for a short romantic break. Good location, just a short leisurely walk from the centre of Long Melford where you find an ample supply of pubs, tea rooms, shops, antique emporiums, etc
Convenient location in the beautiful village of Long Melford. The property is truly dog-friendly, and the treats (and all important poop bags!) were really appreciated. Strong water pressure in both showers. Very comfortable beds, and the bed linen was of good quality.
Clare was very welcoming and the cottage is very cosy. Breakfast was excellent.
Location of property was great, just off the Main Street and within easy walking distance of all facilities of Long Melford.
