Lyme Regis is a small pretty town which one of the locals referred to as a village. It has a busy high street with a variety of shops and restaurants/cafes. The seafront/ promenade is clean and very accessible for all. Just watch out for the seagulls if you decide to eat food along the front.

Lyme is very attractive and clean place. Very dog and family friendly. A great place to relax, take strolls, swim and enjoy the beach and enjoy a range of activities. The town is really well looked after and there are some great places to eat.

I did Geology so the fossil aspect of the area really interested me. It is also very scenic as well as historic.
Beware the giant seagulls which will steal your icecream from the cone down the street from the Royal Lion! I was distracted for a moment reading the map on the wall....

A beautiful seaside town perfect for family holidays.
A beautiful seaside town perfect for family holidays. The beach and sea were clean as was the whole town. There are a few independent shops and lots of independent restaurants serving a variety of food but with an emphasis on fish and shellfish. There are lots of places to visit nearby and then there is the beauty of the Jurassic coast and the story of Mary Anning.
I loved our time in Lyme Regis and hope to visit again.

A compact coastal 'village' at the foot of a very steep shoreline. Beautiful sandy beach for families especially at low tide: a stunning view of the Jurassic coast and a chance to look for fossils (you can book to go fossil hunting before you go):a good choice of restaurants -by the beach and in the town . If you are self catering you may want to go to Axminster but there is a perfectly adequate Tesco store in the main street and artisan bakery

The most beautiful bedroom!!! The design was so lovely. The linens and bed were of the highest quality. Everything has been thought of and it was absolute luxury. Better than most 5 star hotels I have stayed in.
All of the staff could not do enough for us. The food was fabulous with the best breakfast. Their vegan menu was excellent and thoroughly thought through, not just an after thought which is often the case.
I’m a pretty fussy person and there is nothing I would change here. Absolutely amazing!!
Location was good for walking into town centre and beach/marina. Collecting keys worked out well. Host was at property so collected the keys from her. WiFi very good and bathroom big with great shower. The kitchen had an air fryer and coffee machine which were very good. Private parking good and walking the dog to the park or beach front very easy. Lyme Regis very dog friendly.
Large comfortable room, good menus for in-hotel dining, excellent breakfast, friendly staff, and free parking.
Neil, the duty manager, deserves special acknowledgement for his great customer service.
A great place to stay on Lyme Regis
The house was quiet, had easy parking off road, very clean and excellent facilities and lovely decor with sea views and a nice little outside deck to chill out on. Would use this place again as best I’ve had in Lyme Regis so far.
Vegan cooked breakfast was great and lovely friendly helpful staff
Location walking distance of Lyme regis coast and high street which was ideal. Parking too. Lovely garden with sea views.
