Lots of little goodies to start our stay. More than I have had anywhere on my travels. The beds were extremely comfortable, the linen was first class. The decor too.

Nice quite location. We never met the hosts, but the accommodation was lovely and adequate for one night. The quality of the items provided was really good and it had everything you needed for overnight stay.

The location was perfect (close to my mother's carehome), and we had a fabulous walk before dark, and a visit to the *remarkable* church in the village. It is a magical place, the pub/bar and location especially, and we did enjoy dinner in the restaurant.

I liked the area which included the river Windrush, a cute walk through a thatched cottage street, old ruined church with some history on the banks of the river windrush. I loved exploring this area. Picturesque and pretty. Heritage pub in the area was awesome with great food. Nice nature walks.

Great location with easy access off A40 to and from Oxford and Bourton. The circular walk finishing up in the ruins of Lovell castle with it’s history shown on the site put it all in perspective. This part of the Cotswolds as with other areas has not changed down the years and that’s what makes it so special.

The location, style of the hotel, staff, amenities in the room and food and drink were all excellent.
Our feedback for improvement was that the spa we felt lacked a little personality (the tulip artwork could be replaced with a large photograph of the surrounding countryside, or historical building near by perhaps)? The spa outdoor garden area again a little lack lustre and tired/ a few customers had left a few empty bottles on the floor etc.
When we went walking in the beautiful surrounding estate countryside which we found very relaxing and pleasant.. we did come across a fair amount of litter and teenagers drinking by the river which is a shame.
Our tv aerial in our room wasn't very good.

A very small village, from which it's possible to reach the rest of the Cotswolds. Minster Lovell itself probably not worth more than a fleeting visit, but a nice place to stay overnight given it's quiet and not so busy, while arranging day trips elsewhere.

Not sure where to start but avoid booking this hotel if you’re looking for luxury. The room was too warm, fair enough it was a hot day outside but it was excessively too warm in the room with no a/c. Too uncomfortable to the point you could hardly breathe. We also had a dog and he was crying to be let out and constantly panting it was that bad. We were supplied with 4 fans and this still didn’t cool the room and could not sleep at all. We noticed a review left over a year ago stating the same thing that their dog was too uncomfortable with the heat. They obviously do not care about dogs wellbeing if they’re willing to put them at risk of overheating! Why hasn’t this been addressed? To make matters worse the hotel was advertised as being refurbished, our room certainly had not been refurbished. The toilet seat was disgusting with stains all over it. The mini bar was non existent, had 1 bottle of water in it and even that was warm from the mini bar not even working! The bathroom was dirty and one of the towels was dirty. They advertise that the rooms have Dyson hairdryers in, ours did not. While the hairdryer didn’t bother us it’s the fact that they falsely advertised this as one thing and we got something completely different. We would have got a better room if we have stayed in a budget hotel at half the price! It was supposed to be a relaxing night away but was ruined by the experience we had.

Unusual property, near Minster Lovell. Went for a very interesting circular walk along the Windrush valley including The Old Manor near the church.
Enjoyed having our breakfast outside in the private bbq space. Great that we could sleep with the glass door open.
Breakfast was good! A short walk over the road from the hotel - weather was fine, so no issues!
Staff were extremely helpful in both hotel, restaurant and pub!
Room was lovely; great facilities, comfy bed and great shower!
