The Havelock, hotel in Nairn

Offering a terrace and views of the sea, The Havelock is a pub with rooms located in Nairn in the Highlands Region, 984 feet from Nairn Museum. Free private parking is available on site.

I got a really spacious room compared to all the others on my 8 day tour of Scotland. The Havelock is a classic inn with a pub/restaurant downstairs and comfortable rooms upstairs. It's great to have food, drink, and accommodation all in the same building.

    Exceptional place to stay.

Exceptional place to stay. We had a warm welcome, really great helpful staff. Our room was lovely and spotlessly clean. We has such a fantastic time, and wonderful comfortable bed, very relaxing. Everything was high quality including our breakfast ( lovely bright breakfast room with super views). Easily one of the best (actually, probably the best!) Place we ever stayed. Highly recommended, many thanks

We have visited Inverness three times now, but this was our first stay in Nairn. The beach is very welcoming with plenty of space to walk, run, play and enjoy the views; this is the kind of beach I would visit and walk along every day if I lived there. Located close nearby are various historical places to visit (Cawdor Castle, Culloden, Clava Cairns) and Inverness is not far away. Not being much of a "city person" I love to wake up to views and fresh air -- and Nairn offers places like the Invernairne Hotel that enable you to do that and still visit so much nearby.

Lovely seaside town near Loch Ness.

Lovely seaside town near Loch Ness. The beach was lovely to stroll along, as was the canal. Lots of restaurants dotted around town. An amazing ice cream shop located in park near the beach is worth seeking out. The architecture of some areas was stunning old Edwardian homes, really enjoyed wandering around the streets looking at them.

Charming town. I recommend visiting the Nairn Museum first. Their volunteers are helpful and have first hand knowledge of the history of the town. I recommend having a car to travel to sites around Nairn that are too far to walk.

Nairn is a very nice town except for the High St which like most in Scotland is suffering at present. However nice to remember the old shops closed now Mackays grocer, Rose Brothers, Gauls toy shop Heards Morgantis to name a few, Nice to see Pat Fraser is still there. Recommend the Classroom at the top of the High Street to eat. Very easy to walk around and nice walks at the river.

Well situated for accessing Inverness and Elgin by car and for exploring nearby historical sites such as Culloden and Cawdor Castle. Very friendly hosts who made beautifully presented and delicious breakfasts. They also provided gluten free toast which was wonderful (thank you!). The rooms were incredibly clean and comfortable with nice bathrooms and amenities. It was also great to be so close to the seashore in order to take a walk in the morning by the water. Great place to stay and hope to visit again in the future!

This beautiful house is in a great location just outside of Nairn. Our room was nice and big, with a great jacuzzi bath. Hilary made us a lovely breakfast both mornings. The house is backed by a forest with lots of paths for walking. Plenty of nature around the property with red squirrels, woodpeckers and numerous other birds. Great stay - would definitely book again.

Our hosts, Terry and Marion, were so gracious and welcoming. They made us feel like family. The room was spacious and the bathroom very spacious. The place was extremely clean. My kids loved their dog Seamus! And Marion's porridge was the best we had in Scotland! I would happily stay there again and hardily recommend the Haylodge to other travelers.

I love this place! It’s the best accommodation I’ve stayed in North Scotland for the price (and honestly quite a lot better than most more expensive places). Really clean, comfortable, thoughtful accommodation, close to the beach and with EVERYTHING you need to really feel at home. Hosts are really helpful, accommodating and responsive.

Fantastic location, immersed in a park with centuries-old plants, a real mansion from times gone by. Excellent room. Genuine and home made breakfast. Internal free parking. Ian has been a truly wonderful host, a great hospitality and full of advice to improve our experience in Scotland. This location is worth a trip...

I was up to do a gig nearby and I finished quite late, so it was so good to be able to get back to the 1645 hotel and relax at the bar and enjoy some great craik from locals and staff. The breakfast was lovely too. Thank you for everything, if I get another gig up there’ll I’ll be sure and be back! 💙🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿💙

Lovely hotel, arrived to be told our standard double room had been upgraded 😀. Everything from location, staff friendliness, room comfort was excellent. At this time of year it was top notch hotel at Premier Inn price. Love a tartan carpet, a bed the size of a small country and a view of Highland coo's.
