    For walkers, the public footpaths are among the best signed...

    For walkers, the public footpaths are among the best signed and maintained that we have ever experienced in UK. Chipping Ongar itself is an attractive small town with an accessible Sainsburys and plenty of pubs and eateries. We had a delicious, good value lunch at the White Hart pub in nearby Moreton.

    Onger is quant ,I stayed at the Mulberry , the Italian restaurant,very nice decor relaxing food and service full marks . The post office and coffee room ,again sweet , A good refreshing menu , Just rural England at its best Finalising ,the people (Ongar )friendly . The trip friendly to the pocket .

    The receptionist was exceptional, friendly, informative, helpful and just perfect service. Our room was exceptionally clean, fresh and very well designed with high quality finishes all around. We stayed with 2 dogs and the room was just perfect and exceeded expectations. We would stay again in a heart beat. The hotel and grounds are lovely and it is a real gem.

    The property itself is set in beautiful grounds which are immaculate. The staff are very friendly, polite and helpful. The room was spotless, with modern furnishings. The bed was comfy too. Not far to travel to nearby town Ongar, but only 1 pub serves food. Not too far to Motorway.
