We had a lovely stay at Beech House Hotel. The room was immaculate and we were upgraded for free too which was a lovely surprise! The shower was amazing and breakfast was definitely worth the extra. The staff were really professional and helpful.
Arrived at 3 and room still not ready at 5.20 . Then given the room number 10 and bed not made up as still waiting on laundry. Duvet all stained and room dirty.Asked to see manager and a guy called Ben arrived and said nothing was going to please me … photos will show

Interesting place, will go back.
Interesting place, will go back. Got to swim in the Thames, see the churches, go to Whitchurch, walk along the Thames. Visit Goring. It's a fantastic place for a couple of nights. There is a canoe club and also it's a good place to cycle in.

Pangbourne is surrounded by loverly woods and the River Thames runs close by. The traffic during the day is very heavy and makes walking around the town unpleasant. Oddly there are no pubs on the river. There are som nice walks by the river.

Pangbourne’s become seedy looking, with very few real shops left. All the pubs were either closed to non residents, or closed around 9.00 pm ish; all, except The Swan, we’re closed all Sunday evening! The high street is very noisy and stinks of fumes.

It’s only small village which is gorgeous and full of character. There’s only a few places to book to stay overnight. The George was dirty and badly needs some tlc! Didn’t use the romantic bath for 2 in the honeymoon suite because of the mould around the bath. So wasn’t the special romantic stay we hoped for atal

Cleanliness and individuality of hotel decor coupled with keen price meant for an enjoyable stay. The hotel is well situated in the village. Also reassuring was that there seemed good regard to social distancing and other covid related precautions by all staff.
The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room itself had a wonderful mural and made the most of the unique shape and structure of a building this old. There were some low beams but this added a nice charm to the room. Room itself was clean and bed/pillow comfy. The breakfast (additional cost) had a simple selection of Cereal, juices and a tasty full English with more good service. The surrounding area has some nice local shops, some great restaurants and then places to visit a drive away. Hotel is also near to train station.
Beautifully decorated and kitted out bathroom with a superb shower. The rest of the room was nice but not to the same standard of decoration. Large hanging TV made reaching the blind chord behind it, very tricky. Bed was reasonably comfortable but I have stayed in hotels with better mattresses for the price. Good WiFi. Lots of nice touches in terms of coffee tray and bathroom amenities.
Bed very comfortable, lovely and clean room..Bar area ok, Dining area was fab. Location of The George Hotel is great , especially as we do not drive , It was 5 Mins from Station. Food very good . Good Value for money.
Gorgeous building with loads of character in the centre of the beautiful village of Pangbourne . Ideally situated for the BP research centre. Very clean facilities.
