SpainI had to stay for 2 wks with my dog while my husband was in hospital. It was the lovely friendly Staff that made my stay. They were not only friendly to me and my dog but also asked after my husband. Every evening I would sit in the cosy sitting area with sofas and my dog was welcome as well as in the bar/restaurant area. The room is not large but very comfortable and the bed was comfy as well. I stayed in January but the room was always warm enough. I ate in the Hotel every evening and the food is very good., maybe not the sort of food for a diet, but hearty comfort food and a delicious sticky toffee pudding! The rooms are in a separate building right next to Reception and Bar/Restaurant but I found that much easier with the dog as I could take her straight from the car parked in front of the room. I would definitely stay again.

Life By the Ocean Wave
From prehistory to the present, the very essence of Plymouth has been inextricably linked to the sea. The Pilgrim Fathers departed from here and named their new Massachusetts settlement after it, and Sir Francis Drake famously finished his game of bowls on The Hoe before combatting the Spanish Armada.
Western Europe’s largest naval base – HMNB Devonport – is in its natural harbour, and in The Barbican fishing boats bob up and down by cobbled streets lined with historic buildings. Jacka Bakery here is the oldest in Britain and there are plenty of galleries, bars and restaurants, though Union Street has the best nightlife.
At one end of the street is the Theatre Royal, and from the other ferries depart to France and Spain, passing the Mount Batten peninsula and offshore rocks that once housed Smeaton’s Tower lighthouse, now in Hoe Park next to the Royal Citadel.
Overlooking the park is the Lord Mayor’s residence, once home to Waldorf and Nancy Astor, and other street and building names are reminders of Plymouth’s illustrious connections.
Other attractions include the National Marine Aquarium, the City Museum and Art Gallery and Grade II-listed Saltram House. All are easily reached from Booking.com’s Plymouth accommodation, including luxury hotels with swimming pools, cheap guest houses and country houses with parking.

There is so much to see in Plymouth.
There is so much to see in Plymouth. So much fantastic history, with a global impact. I was buoyed up to see how well the city had developed since I'd left it in 2000. Well done Plymouth university, and well done Plymouth City Council.

Plymouth is lovely and the Barbican area and walks around it are really nice and enjoyable. The local businesses are great and are happy to see locals as well as tourists.

We had a great stay in this lovely two bedroomed flat!
We had a great stay in this lovely two bedroomed flat! It was very well appointed, very comfortable, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed, including a washing machine and a dishwasher. The little extras in the food cupboard, tea, coffee and milk were a nice touch to get you started. Lovely walk in shower with plenty of free toiletries etc. Great views of Royal William Yard and Mt Edgecombe. So well situated to everything and short walking distances to Royal William Yard and Firestone Bay. The Cremyll ferry to Mt Edgecombe is literally across the road - we can recommend the Elvira Cafe! All in all a lovely place to stay and ideally situated for visiting our daughter. We have no hesitation in recommending this lovely flat and thanks so much to Justin and James! We would definitely return!

Plymouth has lots of attractions and it's not too far to walk to get around which is just as well because parking is a bit of a nightmare.
I lived in Plymouth for five years, not sure I would live there now...

I visit Plymouth quite often, usually as a gateway.
My reasons are usually water-related and the harbour-front and environs are always interesting.
It seems always busy with congested traffic; on-street parking is difficult.
Some of the more obvious choices for hotels are unhelpful when asked for parking guidance. They're also the ones who double or treble their posted Room Rates if you seek a 'tomorrow' booking. I just 'swipe left' with those....

Plymouth is such a friendly place, everything is within walking distance, there are plaques everywhere telling you the history, very interesting, well worth a visit, if you love seafood you are in heaven.

The property is situated just behind the seafront in a lovely quiet area of Plymouth. Parking just across the road from the hotel, really convenient, £6.55 for 24 hours. The room and bathroom were tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Lovely comfy bed/pillows and very quiet. We walked up to the centre of Plymouth over the Hoe, nice walk and not far. Will definitely choose this hotel again when visiting Plymouth.

The George Guest House is located right in front of the Hoe Park and only a small walk down to the Barbican - great location for exploring Plymouth. There's a nice pub/restaurant right next to the hotel - great for a beer at the end of a day of exploration. The owner was nice and welcoming, overall a very nice stay.

The staff is amazing and very friendly close to bus stop to get to the city centre we couldnt fault anything we have booked again for April we would recommend this hotel to anyone that goes to plymouth

We love this hotel! The best in Plymouth for value for money. We could stay in a B&B but bringing our dog, and having such a great bar along with great music in a fun environment is amazing.
