Fistly , apologies for not rating earlier . I found all the staff to be very helpful courteous , warm and friendly . More particularly Louby and Tania were extremely acommodating , warm and considerate . Basically I felt part of a "family" . Certainly , I cannot see a reason to stay elsewhere and shall certainly be staying there again when I return . Thank you .

There's nothing about the Halvard that isn't superb. From check in to check out everything was fantastic. The staff are incredibly helpful and welcoming. The breakfasts set me up for days of exploring, and you really should try the waffles! The mini bar with complementary chocolate, crisps , soft drinks, variety of teas and coffee is quite simply the best I've experienced. Comfortable beds, luxurious decor, incredible showers, and the mood lighting all made the stay great, and the other elements -particularly the staff - are what makes me want to go back again..

Going at the end of season , the whole island was quiet, meaning a relaxing time to visit places , the roads too . If you like walking it’s paradise ,with views to match .though the weather wasn’t brilliant it didn’t put you off going out . A regular bus service to Douglas ( 1 hour ) comfy too , Locals very warm and friendly

I have been before in August and it was wonderful, but September 24th nothing was open sadly. We could only find one place for coffee. hardly any restaurants to eat in for dinner. Shame for such a lovely place.

Nice tidy little town, old fashioned which gave it a cosy feel. Steam railway goes to Douglas & back. Good bus connections, cheaper than home too. There's a Tesco & Co-op, chippy, Chinese takeaway, & local shops. The Rushen museum & tourist information is good. Helpful friendly volunteers. Good beach for surfers & body boarders. A couple of surf shops to hire boards etc from. Three pubs, The Station, The Falcon & The Bay. The Station has good food, but generic beers. The Falcon wasn't as good & in the sister pub, The Riddler, the beer wasn't kept well. We found The Bay was the best for Busheys Ale. They have food, chicken wings, chips etc. Definitely the best Busheys. Well used with friendly bar staff & always a good craic. There's a monthly pub quiz, & during the season an outside stage for live music.

A good place to explore other areas, public transport is good and allowed us to get about to visit Douglas etc. Port Erin has some lovely community activities going on such as a live band on the beach and young musicians. Port Erin is clean and has a nice chilled vibe.

Port Erin is a lovely village with an outstanding beach and sunsets over Bradda Head. It has very good eating places and lively pubs. There are a lot of opportunities for water sports and stunning walks starting and ending in Port Erin.

Port Erin is a lovely seaside town.

Port Erin is a lovely seaside town. The beach is great and there are lovely walks to go on with beautiful scenery. The shops in the town are good for buying gifts and there's a great book shop on the front. There's a nice cafe and ice cream parlour by the seafront. Also a good fish and chip restaurant in the town. The railway museum is interesting and the steam train to Douglas is a fantastic experience with wonderful views of the countryside. Only drawback is that there wasn't an italian restaurant.

1) Lovely white hotel style bedding and towels. 2) Fully equipped kitchen with large fridge/freezer and dishwasher. 3) How could I forget? The VIEW! 4) Excellent broadband, super WiFi. 5) The building dates from the early 20th century but has been extensively and tastefully remodelled inside with modern features including a lift. 6) The gas central heating. There's a shower and a bath. 7) All Port Erin's amenities are walkable (within 10-15 minutes) from this location.

We stayed in a 2 bed apartment which was recently refurbished to a very good standard. The apartment was spotlessly clean, very well equiped, and had excellent wifi. Location was very central right in the heart of Port Erin, but still quiet. Lots of off street parking. Two minute walk to the beach, shops, restaurants and pubs. All the staff we encountered were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay again.

The breakfast was really tasty and lots to eat and choose from. The guest house was in a nice quiet area with a park across the street and very close to the beach and the town centre. The owners were very friendly and accomodating, I can't rate them highly enough. The bedroom was very comfortable and clean. A great stay and Port Erin is the perfect location to see the island and have a quiet peaceful stay.

The hosts were very kind and helpful. The room was clean and very comfortable. The hotel is located close to several restaurants and a bike rental shop, which makes it helpful to discover the island. I would comeback here for my next visit to Isle of Man.
