United KingdomWhat a lovely place the Cartford Inn is, we were booked in for a nights stay whilst visiting family. The welcome received from reception, the upgrade and to the beautiful room , we couldn’t have asked for more.
After a peaceful and relaxing sleep we had an amazing breakfast .
Would highly recommend a stay here , five star .

Isle of ManStaff were brilliant! It was very clean the room and bed were comfortable and it was very quiet and despite being exceedingly busy the staff had time for everyone and managed to keep the very good breakfast buffet stocked up . Parking very easy and somewhere for the dogs to walk .cost for two dogs was 15 pounds not a rip off like other hotels.

I, actually live in Fulwood; (originally, Fouls Wood, because it was a boggy wood); so my experience of Preston is not really as a tourist. Having said that, Preston, as everyone probably knows; was Priest Town because there were so many churches in the town...I went into "Lukarestaurant" one evening. This is a beautiful building - it was originally a Baptist church and has been tastefully adapted; I would heartily recommend a visit to this building on Fishergate; the architecture is quite stunning. The Harris Museum is also well worth a few moments of any visitor's time. When I lived on Oxford as a student, it became apparent to me that the southerners were very friendly; whereas in Preston, one could go into any pub and find someone to talk to - at least, that was the way - sadly there may be ten people in a pub and nine of them are F'ing about on their mobile phones. They might as well stay at home...

everything was great there is nothing that was negative. Its clean tidy, the staff are great the rooms comfortable and clean with everything you need food and drink when available, parking is great, location great, nice and quiet and relaxing.

This hotel is on the north side of Preston but very easy and direct to reach. It is set back from the road in attractive grounds. The staff are all very pleasant and helpful , which makes a difference. One lady came to my room with a problem of mine regarding the remote , and even came out to my car wth another problem and seemed quite happy to do so..I would definitely stay here again.

Commute around Preston is quite easy.
Commute around Preston is quite easy. Bus routes and easy access to Uber. Chester's and Strictly Chicken was very friendly and the food was exceptional. I felt safe walking the streets, even at night where some roads are poorly lit.

Preston is where my family is, so I will always want to stay...
Preston is where my family is, so I will always want to stay. The city in general is quite quaint, and there are many great things to see in the local area. The marina on the Ribble is a great place to walk, Hoghton Tower is a must see, and there are many interesting villages nearby. It is also not far from York, with several castles on the way.

Preston is not high on the tourist agenda, but does act as a good base for traveling around Lancashire. Great bus and train links will take you to Blackpool, Lancaster and Southport. Smaller cosy villages are also not far away.

Everything, The host David could not do enough for us. We left early to travel back and he was up with a coffee and a breakfast to take with us. The room is beautiful, very clean with its own terrace which is a delight to sit out on. The location is perfect for Preston. Near the town centre and train station but far enough away to not be disturbed by either

Extremely friendly and pleasant small hotel. Not perfect which is actually a real bonus in this age of plastic ‘American’ style hotels. Bus stop outside to get directly into Preston centre and reasonably easy to get to from out-of-town by car. Great staff and really feels that you are welcome.

The room was a lot larger than we expected, well presented, very clean, and we were happy to find a jar of yummy complimentary sweeties as well! We loved that little touch. The location is also brilliant if you’re travelling to or from Preston train station it’s only a a couple of streets away

Great room with everything I needed and in a fantastic city centre location too. Check in was easy, with full instructions sent and the shared kitchen was an added bonus. Would definitely stay here again if in Preston.
