We travelled to Preston for a wedding, the place was beautiful and nice. Preston town centre has lovely stories, retail stores, nice, warm and friendly place. Local businesses are nice and reasonable price too.

Have never visited Preston before - and have no reason or...

Have never visited Preston before - and have no reason or desire to return. Was simply a stop-over. I didn't like what we saw of the town, which admittedly was very little and mostly the centre High Street. Blatant drug dealing in public. Whatever character the place possessed, has been ruined by modern architecture, so sad to see lovely old buildings abandoned and ruined and all the money spent on out of town shopping centres and roads. Although we did find a lovely Italian restaurant.

Superb university town. Good high street shopping.

Superb university town. Good high street shopping. Excellent parks. Extremely interesting history. A must visit The Harris Museum and Art Gallery it’s free! Good food at the Weatherspoons. Visit don’t miss this town out. Recommend 3/4 day stay.

Preston has some amazing well kept parks.

Preston has some amazing well kept parks. Went to the New Continental. Whilst the restaurant is a little expensive, the live venue there is brilliant. Is next to a river and railway bridge, so quite a stunning setting so can go for a walk if the weathers good. Not far from the high street as well (10 minute walk). There was a free music festival on as well which had been running for a month and was free. Some really great music related things happening in Preston. Shall be back!

A gritty Northern town with plenty to see, and great places to eat. We ate in the Moorcroft pub the first night, and they bake superb authentic Italian pizzas and have a great selection of beers and other drinks. There was live entertainment in the covered rear garden which was excellent. The second night we ate in Angelos Italian Restaurant in the centre of Preston. One of the best Italian restaurants we have eaten, with wonderful food, and great service. We gave it 9.5 out of 10.

I was there for a scientific conference and it as my first time in Preston. Nice little town with interesting areas and interesting restaurants. I enjoyed my staying. The northern accent was a bit hard to grasp.

In my opinion and experience, knowing the area for over 30 years, this is overall simply the best three-star hotel in the region. Excellent location, large free car park and bus stop just outside the door for short journey to city centre and university (also to Blackpool); near a nice park and convenient pub, bar, etc; lovely welcoming staff; great breakfasts (perfectly cooked, choices, large helpings); spotlessly clean comfortable beds in good sized rooms with the best dual-head shower facilities. Great value for money. Highly recommended!

Staff lovely and always helpful Leisure facilities were fab steam room sauna pool and spa I had a massage at spa it was great and very reasonably priced I had food on arrival and gave to say it was the best eggs Benedict I’ve had anywhere Breakfast was lovely and lots of choice,juices, pastries and lovely full English I would recommend this place especially if you are using facilities I travelled by bus from Preston which was easy and stopped a few mins from hotel

it was clean and everything was neat in the rooms and the bed was comfortable along with the pillows. i picked here as it was close to the uni and a perfect place for me to stay while visiting my friend at uclan. i was able to get to and from all the places i wanted to go to in preston easily from the hotel aswell. would definitely stay again

Simply put everything! The staff greeting, the cleanliness, the room size + layout, comfy bed, and the bathroom were all sublime. The area of the Legacy Preston International hotel was just perfect. Our son goes to the Preston UClan university and lives literally 2 minutes walk away.
