United KingdomThe views were incredible with so much open space and sheep in the field in front. The hosts dog kept us company when we lit the barbecue and she was so sweet. The cabin was cosy and clean with everything we needed as well as free tea, coffee and sugar which was a nice touch. The hot tub was heated for us before we arrived and the host was very helpful, showing us where to go and how to use the hot tub.

Amazing historic Castle converted to a hotel a number of years ago. Right in the centre of the town, easy parking in the grounds. Beautiful grounds with peacocks. Very friendly welcoming staff. The venue was perfect for the family wedding. Staff were very helpful. Rooms are very clean and all facilities provided. The town of Ruthin is a lovely little town and easy to find everything you need. A nice Weatherspoons and a few restaurants in town and a lovely family run coffee shop. Loved Ruthin Castle , great if you have a dog . Tons of character in the building , staff were excellent as was the food . It’s an old building and could do with updating - but don’t let that put you off as it really is beautiful , yes could do with an update but I really lived it as it was and will definitely be going back . Ruthin is a very scenic and historic town.
Ruthin is a very scenic and historic town. But despite going there on a Saturday afternoon it was quite quiet and there were only a few stalls at the indoor market. Other shops had closed early. I'd heard that the cafe at the arts centre was an independent one, but when we went it was actually a Costa, which was a little disappointing. Went to church on Sunday morning at St Peter's and received a very warm welcome from Rev Luke and other congregants. Had takeaway from the Himalaya Indian (or perhaps Bangladeshi) restaurant, which was the best I'd ever tasted; full of rich complex flavours. I'd read reviews that the restaurant often gave additional dishes for free. This certainly proved to be the case. I was on my own so ordered a main dish (vegetable lemon chilli garlic masala to be precise!) and a rice but also got a lovely fluffy naan, three poppadom with salad and pickles, a dhal and three onion bhaji! Fab central location with ( a free parking permit )parking literally 3 minutes away. Our room was modern, clean, well furnished and the bed was extremely comfortable. I had an issue with the heating in our room, called Gavin and he sorted the problem promptly. Silly things like shampoo and hand washes sweets on the towels and tea and coffee etc all there. This I expect from a hotel but not an air B&B.
