Just about everything, but it was the performance of the hotel staff which warranted the exceptional rating.
Smart, polite and always smiling.
Indulge in island living at the 5-star Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa, perfectly situated on the Esplanade and just one minute from the golden sands of St Aubin's Bay.

I was in St Helier for their 80th Liberation weekend. There was a great
party atmosphere. Once the party was over you can go shopping, hop on a boat to Sark, visit the Jersey Museum, sea pool at the beach round the corner in Havre de Pas, also the lovely White Horse pub with views over the sea from the pub garden. Take the Le Petit Train to St Aubin.

We went for Liberation Day with a group of friends to visit a friend. I thought the Jersey Museum and Art Gallery was great and recommended to the rest of our party who tried it and agreed. An excellent museum with a lovely courtyard serving very good food and drinks. I would definitely recommend a visit.
Jersey is so easy to travel around with good regular bus services.

It's clean, beautiful beaches and salt water pool. Watching the extodainary tides going in/out was absolutely magical. The energy of the place was beautiful, calm and warming, even though it was cold outside. Would love to see the rest of the Island and hope to come back. I stayed at De L'tang. The food was excellent especially the Scallops in a ouzo sauce ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Buy a bus pass at the bus station, for 1, 2, 3, or 7 days.
Buy a bus pass at the bus station, for 1, 2, 3, or 7 days. The bus service is a great way of getting around the island. The drivers are excellent and very friendly. They are also highly skilled drivers as you will soon see. Many of the roads are very narrow.
St Helier has lots of shops and if a visit to Elizabeth is highly recommended. There is a free museum which is worth a visit. It includes a 20 minute film and a 5 storey house in addition to the usual artefacts.

Liked the bus travel and cost of taxis, numerous good bars & restaurants. Unfortunately out trip to the war tunnels was wasted as they were closed until the end of March. Nobody seemed to know this, neither the hotel nor the buses.

Hotel de France strikes a great balance between being a luxury hotel while still offering a relaxed holiday experience. The pool and spa facilities are great with the pool being just big enough to do a bit of proper swimming. Breakfast is buffet style with a good selection and staff always on hand during our stay to pick up the extras. There is plenty of parking if you have a car and it is a short fifteen minute stroll to St Helier centre. WiFi free and fast. We had an excellent stay (nine days) and felt thoroughly welcome.
We booked a large suite with harbour and sea views looking out towards St Aubins bay which was as good as we hoped it would be, the lady on reception couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant which could also have been said of all staff members during our stay. The hotel is handily placed for transport links and the town centre restaurants and bars as well as the harbours.
On sea front, clean, good breakfast, comfortable beds. We had a room at the back, which was very quiet but there is a main road in front of the hotel. 15 minute walk to town centre.
