It always has a relaxing holiday vibe. A visit to the theatre is a must. There are usually tickets available at short notice. The outside areas overlooking the river are very pleasant.
Ideal place to visit if you are using a mobility scooter as easy paths along by the river. The town is very accessible.

It is an excellent place to visit with so much to do.
It is an excellent place to visit with so much to do. One is spoilt for chooses of where to eat and this also applies for accommodation to stay.
I also felt the town was kept very clean and well looked after. We will definitely visit again.
We thoroughly enjoyed eating at the hotel as well as the restaurant opposite the river where an excellent musician played and sung some excellent music.
I would definately recommend the open top bus ride in and around Stratford, we'll worth the money. Also a leisurely boat trip along the river. The theatre is also worth a visit.

The centre is large enough to be interesting but small...
The centre is large enough to be interesting but small enough to explore easily. There is a good variety of coffee shops and restaurants and some individual shops as well as the usual chains and tourist gift sellers.
The historic visitor's sites are easily accessible but can be crowded, as can the central park area, especially on Bank holidays. However, the walk along the river, past the Big Wheel, is always a pleasure with plenty of human and wildlife activity to watch on a sunny day. The centrally placed RSC theatre is a great place to spend an evening 'brushing up your Shakespeare.' We would recommend a two night minimum stay but three or even four nights would be better, especially if it's a first visit.

What a lovely place.
What a lovely place. We were there to run the marathon but managed to squeeze in a few walks, and visits to local pubs and restaurants, and do a bit of touristing. Would defo like to go back some day with my partner and have a more chilled time.

This is the best place to stay in Stratford Upon Avon, in my experience - and we’ve tried out lots of hotels and apartments over the years. Great location, especially for the RSC theatres. Fabulously comfy bed and a spacious apartment. Weekend parking right next door - car park also has a BP Pulse charger for EVs. We will definitely be coming back.
We are quite frequent visitors to Stratford upon Avon and have stayed at Alveston Manor Hotel a few times. It is our favourite place to stay. The staff are always very friendly and helpful.
