Friendly helpful staff, great location and facilities, spotlessly clean. Lovely little extra touches like fresh milk and water in the fridge in my room, a welcoming complimentary cup of coffee on arrival and fresh flowers on the breakfast table. All these made the stay so much more pleasurable, I will definitely stay again.

Luke and Becca have thought of absolutely everything! Beautiful decor in a nautical style, a clean, fresh and stunning property. Such a welcoming and friendly couple who were always on hand to help if needed. The lounge area had a selection of glasses, ice, bottle opener and much more to enjoy a drink from the local shop and the dining area had a selection of plates and cutlery so you can bring your own food into eat. On the Landing there are spare towels , milk, biscuits and a ‘forgotten box’ for those things that you may have forgotten to pack. brilliant idea . Honestly can not fault the place. A absolute gem of a find.

We stayed here for New Year’s Eve and had the most amazing time. The coach house was perfect, and we absolutely loved having our own hot tub such a special touch and a great way to ring in the New Year. The staff were incredible from start to finish, so friendly and helpful, and really made us feel welcome. The fireworks were absolutely awesome and made the night feel extra special. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate one of the best stays we’ve had and memories we’ll cherish. Highly recommend!

Torquay is a good location for this part of Devon.

Torquay is a good location for this part of Devon. Torbay the larger area of Torquay offers different areas, beaches and places of interest with variety. Good for walkers, dogs etc. Plenty of hotels. Exeter a cathedral / university about 40 mins away. Plenty of places by coast not too far away. Lots of hotels. Some bars and restaurants around. Main streets away from the bay can look a little faded with usual bargain shops and Exeter of course would offer a far better shopping choice. But Torbay is a wide area for walks and popular with seniors. Torquay has no university.

I have read about Torquay, and it clearly has issues.

I have read about Torquay, and it clearly has issues. There are parts of the town that need redeveloping, but this is an issue for lots of town centres. Internet shopping has killed most normal shops. So Torquay ends up having to cater for the tourist trade, and out of season the town is dead. The harbour area is improving, but the old Debenhams site needs something doing to it. There are lots of bars and eateries around the harbour.

Scenery great. Plenty to do. Some things a bit overpriced. Model village far to much for a family to pay. Annual ticket should be available. Return visit should not be restricted to seven days. Good to have some free roadside parking and handy charging places for electric vehicles.

Harborside is very nice, with some nice shops, parks, and restaurants. The town itself is somewhat dilapidated with empty shops and pubs. The local council should be ashamed of how the town has been left to decay in what should be a very affluent area. However I would still recommend.

The beach was clean with beautiful views. Plenty to see and do in nearby towns too. A visit to the Princess Theatre is highly recommended with a meal. Theatre staff were attentive and friendly. For getting around Torquay, walking is great if possible. If you need transport use local taxis. Babbacombe is a must with the model village and cliff railway to Oddicombe beach.

This is the best small hotel we have stayed at in England! We will definitely be back. Lovely comfy bed, great decoration and ample storage. The shower room was compact but extremely clean and tidy. The towels are great quality and a good size. Home made fudge, sweets and Netflix on the TV. The breakfast choices were many and the quality of the locally sourced items was very good. A great tasty breakfast!
