Honestly although we are locals we like something different from the norm and this will now be our new go to place for a nice little break

Great hosts, lovely comfortable rooms and wonderful breakfasts. The swimming pool is the cherry on the cake if you are lucky enough to get good weather. Location is excellent with a 5 minute stroll to the seafront and about 15 minutes to the harbour.

IrelandI stayed in a single room which overlooked the back area of the hotel, it was very peaceful and quiet. The bed was extremely comfortable and the staff were very helpful and chatty. I only stayed one night but I really enjoyed my time at this hotel. Parking was included and out front, the view from the front looks out over the sea, very enjoyable

I visit Torquay a few times a year.
I visit Torquay a few times a year. I always take the ferry over to Brixham In fact I did this twice on this trip. I enjoyed the views from the big wheel. I dined at the pier restaurant and the harvester both restaurants served beautiful food. I also enjoyed a cappuccino by the marina. Very relaxing. Torquay has a lovely welcoming atmosphere. The shops I visited had everything I was looking for. I am already planning my next visit.

The accomodation was less than average the beach the harbour & restaurants were excellent everywhere easy to get to would highly recommend Torquay as a holiday but be aware of where you stay accomodation wise ie not accomodation that requires walking up hills or steps it's gets tiring

Great food offer in Torquay.
On arrival we had lunch at Rockfish, we don't normally eat at chain restaurants but having been to the ones in Brixham and Weymouth we knew it would be good.
We had the hot seafood platter, scallops, king prawns, hake and monkfish with salad and unlimited fries.
We had been recommended The Elephant but decided to go to No 7 Fish Bistro and Wine Bar. It was superb, smallish printed menu but blackboards chock full of choices which change daily. The wine offer was exceptional, we opted for a white rioja. We shared the excellent seafood broth as a starter but for a small appetite it would definitely be enough as a main.
We decided to go back on our last night in Torquay but told they were fully booked, we were given a 'lifelife' by Paul the owner/manager? to email in that morning about 11 to see if there had been any cancellations. We had a reply by midday to say a 6pm slot had become available which we were very happy to fill. Our previous meal had been at 8.30 with the restaurant and wine bar packed. If you prefer a quieter meal then 6pm would be best.
We were very happy with both our reservations.

Plenty of shops and restaurants.
Plenty of shops and restaurants. Lots of attractions practically on your doorstep. Beautiful scenic views. Loved visiting Greenway House and Babbacombe. Buses available to most places but they are not like London Buses have to be prepared to wait a while so give yourself time.

The indoor and outdoor swimming pools at the hotel gave my family good alternatives.

Torquay has always been our favourite resort destination the people & staff are so friendly & helpful …everywhere is exceptionally clean …love the idea of the “Thank You” litter bins great way to encourage adults & kids to use them. Fantastic choice of ice creams at a good price.
Thoroughly enjoyed Elvis & Whitney Houston shows which enhanced our stay. Lovely restaurants & service as well as great entertainment at The Tide Restaurant at the weekend. The bus service & drivers are top notch!!
Love Torquay❣️The only issue we had was Norwood Guest House we were greatly misled by the false reviews & outstanding ratings !!😡Worst place we have ever stayed at!!! Nothing to like about it we couldn’t wait to leave!!! 7 nights of torture!!!! 😩

This B & B is amazing. I could not find fault with it. It is spotless clean in easy walking distance to beach. The rooms are lovely beds comfortable and the breakfast was supberb. The owners made us feel like they had known us for years and it felt so comfortable. I highly recommend The Millbrook and would stay no where else in Torquay. Beautiful and being from Australia best value for money.....thankyou Millbrook for an amazing stay.

The hotel has a vast amount for the kids to enjoy, kids clubs, parks, pools and spa. The pool and bistro had a holiday feel to it and with the sun out it felt like we could have been abroad. Staff were helpful, room was clean and comfortable enough. Location was good, a lovely pan Asian restaurant nearby, a convenience store and just a 10-15 min stroll to Torquay where they have a funfair and lots of shops, restaurants and the beach.

This hotel is in the best location in Torquay and I would not consider staying anywhere else. We were originally put in an interconnecting room from which we could clearly hear our 'neighbour's conversations. After raising this issue with the Reception, we were moved to a superior room, at no extra cost, which was greatly appreciated.
