We absolutely loved our stay. The sea view room, the decor, staff and restaurant. For us the location was perfect as we like to walk and thexwalk into the centre was the exercisexwe needed when on a roadtrip. Bonus..on site undercover parking.

We stayed here for New Year’s Eve and had the most amazing time. The coach house was perfect, and we absolutely loved having our own hot tub such a special touch and a great way to ring in the New Year. The staff were incredible from start to finish, so friendly and helpful, and really made us feel welcome. The fireworks were absolutely awesome and made the night feel extra special. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate one of the best stays we’ve had and memories we’ll cherish. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our boat trip from Torquay to Brixham and everyone made us feel welcome. Unfortunately we perhaps chose the wrong weekend to go as there was an International Padel Board meeting so very busy and well attended.

A classic English holiday resort.

A classic English holiday resort. Not too big but enough to do in Torquay and the local area. The beach is sand rather than shingles of some nearby bays. It has a gentle incline and so its easier to swim in for all the family. Highlights were Torre Abbey, RIB coastal boat ride, crazy golf and coffee shops and restaurants. Nearby Babbacombe model village was amazing.

Torquay is great to visit as a family as there’s lots to do including beach trips, visiting amusements and we went on an Amazing boat trip with Torquay Watersports. There’s plenty of shops and eateries around, I would recommend Tides as a place to eat. It’s easy to get around as there’s plenty of signage and always someone to ask if you’re not sure. There’s a great atmosphere on the sea front/ harbour and some really stunning coastal views.

I arrived in Torquay by train, not a negative as the buses, trains and boats to the various areas are plentiful. The beaches are stunning, sunbathing and swimming. The only restaurant I ate at was Weatherspoon - the food was good but it was very busy and noisy. Other days we ate elsewhere in Devon.

Torquay is gorgeous i came for a weekend with my 2 children. We explored the town centre, did a bit of shopping, relaxed in the gardens opposite the beach. My son is mad on basketball he found a court near by, we stayed in the carlton hotel which had everything we needed and 5 minutes away from the beach ⛱️

The hotel is in a very good position in Torquay with beautiful views. It has it's own car park which is part of the reason I chose it. The room was huge, well maintained, clean and had everything you could need. All staff I encountered were very friendly, helpful and polite. The breakfast was lovely in a room with a beautiful view and I liked that you could choose your time. I would definitely stay there again and recommend.

With out doubt the best views from our room across Torquay, The room was spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable, one of the best I have ever slept on. The shower was extremely powerful and ideal for a back massage!!! The value for money was very pleasing and my wife and I will definitely be going back, Heidi was also extremely helpful when booking.com messed the reservation up. Brilliant Hotel *****
