On our first day we arrived early and headed into London for the City Sightseeing Hop on Hop Off experience, it was brilliant! The train station is a 2 mins walk from the Holiday Inn where we stay, and departs regularly for London.
On our second day, we went to Harry Potter Studios, availing of the free bus from Watford Train Station - get there early, as the queues can be quite lengthy. We treated ourselves to Afternoon Tea at the studios, my daughters was served in a little suitcase, I think she was more excited about the experience than the food, but she loved both! I’m a coeliac, and have to say, the attention to detail in what I received was incredible - beautifully themed at every stage of the afternoon tea experience.
We decided to spend our third day exploring Watford and its surroundings - only to discover we would need a car to really explore the local attractions. But the town of Watford did not disappoint. The shopping centre offers something for everyone, great selection of shops, cafes, restaurants, activities for all of the family.
Watford definitely did not disappoint with its food choices, a personal favourite was the Lounge Cafe - super cool places, delicious food, professional and friendly staff, great atmosphere! So nice, we returned twice in one day, and it was consistent with every visit!
If you’re looking for somewhere to stay to visit Harry Potter Studios, the Holiday Inn is excellent. But, treat yourself to an extra night or two and explore Watford or take a trip into London, you’ll be glad that you did.

We came for the Harry Potter tour but had a night to do what we like. we went to a restaurant called Il Pellegrino and the food was banging 👌 and also have a few drinks if that's what you're interested in there's seems to be plenty of choice. Not sure about other things as we're only there for one night. But it's a decent place.

The town of Watford is a great area to stay if you want to be away from the large city. Watford Junction is so easy to catch train into London.
Watford is a very walkable city. Plenty of restaurants and bars. The street market is wonderful.

From being able to check in early to leaving with smiles on our faces our stay at the Watford holiday Inn was fantastic, the staff were very friendly and always there to help, the food was great especially the fish chips we had in the evening, the best I've tasted not from a proper chippy, I'd 100% recommend this holiday inn and I suspect every other holiday inn are the same, when I go on another trip the first place I am going to look to stay at is the holiday Inn, you lot have won me over.

Stayed for 4 nights with my family. The house is in great location, close to train station, high street (places to eat, supermarket). Booked this property mainly due to trip to Harry Potter studio (near Watford Junction for shuttle bus).
Kids liked the theme decorations in the house.
Great communication with host Jody.
House is comfortamble for short stay and would booked again.
We stayed here as it was close to Harry Potter Studio Tours. The bus stop for the Harry Potter bus at Watford Junction is a short walk away. The hotel was lovely and clean. We had a nice big room. The breakfast was great. It was much better than i thought it was going to be. Lots of choice. The reception staff were really friendly and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again.
I liked the location. 5min walk to Watford Junction Station. Parking facilities good. Nice clean room, stayed in room 7 near the toilet and didn't get disturbed by anything. Lovely sleep greatly appreciated the two pillows. Nice to have cups and tea and coffee in the room. Very helpful and friendly staff.
