we had a wonderful stay and felt well looked after.
We was given a complimentary upgrade which was just lovely, and everyone was friendly and welcoming. We had dinner out in the local area which again was lovely, and such a beautiful area to explore, and breakfast at the hotel in the morning which was very nice and filling.
Everything was clean, and has a cosy vibe. we will 100% be back should we visit the area again (which I am sure we will)
The Duke of Marlborough is a quaint building just outside Woodstock and Blenheim Palace, the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. It offers free parking and hearty, locally-sourced food.

In picturesque Woodstock, just 20 minutes’ drive from Oxford centre, Macdonald Bear Hotel offers a restaurant. Set in a 13th-century inn, the rooms have period features.

Nice staff and good central location. Good parking availability. Room was interesting and quirky, had room 3 which was a building on its own.
Bed comfortable.

The house was clean, comfortable, and extremely well located in Woodstock. We appreciated the tea and coffee provided on arrival and the luxury toiletries in the bathroom.
Good spot to visit other places ! Limited opportunities in Woodstock as we avoided overpriced Blenheim Palace and went for other places in driving range like the Morris House. We enjoyed the food at the restaurants visited.

We only stayed one night and went for a wander round, before deciding to eat in a lovely Indian restaurant and there a number of traditional pubs and coffee shops with outside seating to sit and watch the world go by. Beautiful Cotswold cottages and quaint little streets filled with flowers and very clean and tidy.

I enjoyed my trip to Blenheim Palace the staff were excellent and were very informative, sadly it was a very cold day , therefore we could not take full advantage of the grounds.
Will revisit in the summer.

This needs to be a review of Long Hanborough not Woodstock as the hotel is it about 4 miles from Woodstock. The position of the hotel is very convenient for a community path leading to Bladon. We went to Woodstock once and had a walk round. It is a lovely town but I can't comment on anything else.

Woodstock is a beautiful little village.
Woodstock is a beautiful little village. The buildings are stunning, the people are friendly. There is a good choice of bars, restaurants and independent shops. We only stayed for one night. Next time it will be for longer.

Good location, lovely room, comfortable bed, good food in the restaurant, excellent location for visiting Blenheim Palace and wandering around Woodstock. Bathroom clean and tidy, no black silicon everywhere like a lot of hotels. the shower pressure is a bit limp but adequate.
Parking at the rear, tight but ok, private entrance for guests was a nice touch as parking is a problem in the town.
Great place for a wander, plenty of places to eat and Blenheim Palace is within walking distance.
Lovely hotel, lovely staff. The room was perfect, clean, modern, and massive room. Bathroon had a bath and walk-in shower. Plenty of towels. Coffee machine and a choice of teas. Also, there were two bottles of water. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast was perfect. Woodstock is a beautiful old village with many lovely shops, pubs and cafes. Walking distance from Bleinham palace. Lovely hotel, will go back again.
It is a well-run comfortable hotel but the single rooms are rather small; I was lucky to be offered a spare double which was very comfortable. parking is easily available and access to Woodstock and Blenheim Palace ideal up the Blazon Road.
