Amazing location for hikes in the Crete mountains. The couple that owns the hotel are incredibly nice and caring. Led us to the hotel right after we got off our bus and made us food once our stay was over before we left Fourfouras. One of the best hotel experiences I’ve had.

Perfect location in the mountains that could be a base for a short drive day trips to Arkady Monastery, multiple gorges and beaches on the north coast. There are walking distance Supermarket and local tavernas. Place is fully renovated with spacious 3 bedrooms and Huge bathroom. Air conditioner was in each room. This was first time after 12 days of travel we feel comfy on new matrasses and sparkling high-end linens. Yet we have no chance – all tableware was new as well. Host went an extra mile and provided six types of water/soda and coffee. We really like staying in Casa Moderna and highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed every part of our holiday here. What stood out from the very beginning was how warm, friendly and helpful the staff were. On our first day, they showed us around the hotel, answered all our questions with genuine kindness, and gave us very useful recommendations about places to visit in Bali. This welcoming attitude continued throughout our entire stay and made us feel very comfortable. Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious enough, with a lovely large balcony. Coffee, tea and water were replenished every day, which was a very nice touch. Breakfast was varied and enjoyable, and we especially appreciated that there were different options from one day to the next rather than exactly the same selection every morning. The hotel also organizes a Cretan Night once a week, with traditional music and dancing. It was a fun and lovely way to experience a little bit of the local culture without even leaving the hotel. But for us, the highlight was definitely the beautiful bay in front of the hotel. The sea was incredibly clear, clean and calm, with almost no waves during our stay. The sheltered bay makes it a wonderful place for swimming and simply relaxing in the water. The hotel has its own sunbeds by the sea, and there were enough for guests whenever we went down. The views over the bay are beautiful as well, especially with the boats anchored in the distance. There is also a large and attractive swimming pool. We didn’t use it ourselves because the sea was simply too beautiful to resist! Overall, what made our stay special was the combination of the peaceful location, beautiful bay, comfortable rooms and, above all, the genuinely kind and welcoming people working at the hotel. We left with very happy memories and would gladly stay here again.

We stayed here for 8 nights, and it was honestly one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had! From the moment we arrived, we felt very welcome. We were greeted with welcome drinks, shown around straight away, and the hospitality throughout our stay was amazing. The hotel has been recently renovated, and everything is beautiful, clean, and very well thought out. There is a lovely outdoor pool with sunbeds, as well as a rooftop terrace with a jacuzzi. One of the things we loved most was how peaceful and intimate the hotel felt. Since there aren’t that many rooms, it never felt crowded, and quite often it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. The rooms are quite compact, but they are very tastefully designed and have everything you need. We also had a lovely sea view. The breakfast was another highlight. Everything was fresh and delicious, with a great variety of food and some items changing every day. Freshly baked bread, fresh juices, and lots of different options — we genuinely looked forward to breakfast every morning. But the best part of the whole experience was definitely the staff and the people running the hotel. Everyone was incredibly welcoming, kind, and helpful, and they really made our stay special. We loved our time here and would absolutely recommend this hotel. We would happily come back!

The facilities and the gardens are amazing, the staff are great and very welcoming and helpful. The hotel is in a walking distance from the beach and restaurants.
