A very historical island, Rhodes is. A 4-5 day trip is good enough for a good overview. Also, do not miss going to Lindos town, an hour's drive from Rhodes. Also, Anthony Quinn Beach is not to be missed. Rhodes Castle, shops, and houses within the breach of the castle walls are very nice. Also, restaurants, patisseries, and coffee shops are charming. I recommend visiting this historical island for history (Ottoman-Turkish, Greek, European (past knights' kingdom and Templar knights), shopping, tourism, and jogging (every day above 10000 steps are guaranteed). Taxis are not expensive, and Greek people are all very kind, as are the Turkish minority.

I was very skeptical about Rhodes as upon arrival it looked like a tourist trap, and while some parts are slightly tacky, if you dig deeper there's a charm to it.
The old town is magnificent and bigger than I thought and getting lost in its alleyways was a really magical experience. Walking to the Acropolis was another highlight, the park where it is is, so beautiful, so lush, and what an amazing view of Rhodes from there. I was taken back in time to an early civilization.
I walked everywhere and enjoyed it, also I was willing to walk slightly far out from the center to find more traditional Greek restaurants, where I had a more authentic experience, such as To Steno and Notia Rodos.

We found Rhodes is a scam island and there are loads of tourist traps - so research where you go to and where you eat well. Lean on the locals if possible. And be ready for the pebbles at the coast rather than a nice, gentle sand.

We visited all the main attractions in Rhodes……The Acropolis, The national Archaeological museum, Museum of Modern Greek Art and the Jewish Museum. Staff in all the various museums etc very very friendly and helpful.
We also took the bus to Lindos one of the days.
We were spoiled for choice re eating out in Rhodes.
Unfortunately the weather was unseasonably cold and sometimes wet. Still no such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing !

I love Rhodes old town and new town, especially out of season.
There is such a sense of history there and I find it very beautiful. There is such a variety of things to do - museums to visit, shopping, eating, visiting ancient monuments and swimming/lying on the beach!

How nice, attentive and helpful the staff were.
We were able to leave our bags after check out, and come back and shower before catching our flight, at no extra cost.
Breakfast was very good value for money (we had this included in our room rate) and included a juice, coffee and item off the menu.
Nice sized airy room, with lovely sea view from balcony and within a 10 minute walk to Old Town and Rhodes Town and less than 5 to the beach.
Lovely hotel, would stay again if I ever came back to Rhodes.
The Savoy is an old hotel in the centre of the harbour area of Rhodes town. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. Breakfast is served in the small walled courtyard, a really good choice of food and drinks. We have stayed at the Savoy several times and although the rooms are small they are quite adequate and the position of the hotel and the staff are excellent.
Beautiful boutique hotel perfectly situated in Old Rhodes town. Katerina and her family were genuinely welcoming, provided fabulous breakfasts and were a wealth of knowledge regarding restaurants, sights and shopping. Just fantastic good old fashioned hospitality.
Clean and tidy hotel. Pleasant atmosphere. Pleasant staff. Excellent location on the beach, near the new city, the old city and the port. I took a suite with a sea view, a spacious and lovely room.
