Beautiful hotel so close to the port ! The hotel grounds are immaculate, the room was huge with lovely views of the gardens and hillside from the balcony. The free shuttle from the ferry is really good ! Great breakfast too. Loved our stay here and just sorry I didn't have another night !!

Cabo is a fabulous place to stay. Right on the harbour with lots of boat action. Studio is very clean and well equipped. We had a great stay there.

We had a wonderful stay at Asymi Hotel and would happily return. The location is excellent—peaceful, yet just a short walk from the harbor, restaurants, and shops. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and always happy to help with recommendations and any questions we had. Their hospitality made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The turquoise sea, lots of secluded bays. I went to walk and managed a couple but since the only two books of walks in Symi are both out of print, it was difficult to plan or risk more walks as a solo. I wish someone would re-publish both books. The bus trip to Panormitis was much more interesting that I expected: the interior of the island is full of rough hills, goats and trees and I would love to have had a chance to walk some of it. There is a real opportunity here for more information and even organised walks. And Panormitis was exceptionally tranquil - I loved it.

Symi is a delightful island with a huge range of interesting...

Symi is a delightful island with a huge range of interesting places to visit for such a small place. I have visited 10 times over the past 12 years and will definitely go back again, probably in 2027. The harbour area (Gialos) is beautiful as you arrive by boat and there are plenty of bars and restaurants serving good food with typical Greek flair. Up the Kali Strata (a huge number of steep and irregular stone steps) is the village, a mass of twisty alleys with restaurants, a school and churches. If you don’t fancy the steps then there’s a regular bus that takes the long way round to the village and from there down to Pedi where there’s a beach, hotel and beach cafes. Water taxis take you to various beaches, all with their own character (my favourite is Agia Marina where the food is fabulous and the sea is divine). At the other end of the island from Gialos is the monastery at Panormitis which is fascinating. There are numerous walks for people who don’t mind a hilly terrain and squashy sunbeds on most of the beaches for people who prefer to be horizontal with a book. Many visitors come on a day trip from Rhodes (and the harbour area can get rather crowded as a result) but I recommend staying for at least a few days to discover the unique qualities of this wonderful island.

Symi is an island that means a lot to us as I proposed to and married my wife there. Have been there 9 times now. It's so relaxed and beautiful. Lovely places to see, eat and drink. i would recommend the 'Poseidon' round the island BBQ cruise round the island and hire a quad bike or something to go all over the island.

Symi was one of the highlights of our trip.

Symi was one of the highlights of our trip. The island is absolutely beautiful, colourful and full of character, with lovely restaurants and a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. Getting around by sea taxi was very easy, and Agia Marina was unforgettable — crystal-clear water, excellent food and great service. We especially loved the small, family-run tavernas and the warm hospitality. Two nights felt just right, although we could easily have stayed longer.

Visit the harbour, don’t stay in the harbour The Symi bus is excellent and once you figure how easy it is, just stay somewhere along its route Take the boat taxis out to the various beaches. ..totally worth the trip

A gorgeous little town in this part of the Dodecanese Greek Islands, so picturesque, with its colourful homes and tavernas surrounding the port make Symi a town you remember will want to revisit even if you never do

My stay in Nikos and Eva Studios was great. Eva and Nikos make sure that you can enjoy your holiday the best possible way. Studios are big and spotlessly clean. Bathrooms are renovated only couple of years ago and beds just this winter. Beds are absolutely the most comfortable I have ever had travelling for many years on the greek islands. There are even mattress toppers! Both them and the pillows are made of Memory Foam! For sure I'll choose Nikos and Eva Studios also for my next visit to Symi!

Very big apartment on different floors in an old house, perfectly renewed, in the old town of Symi. The location is very good, close to restaurants, shops and bus stop. Kitchen is very well equipped. Hosts are very very helpful and welcoming; they will give any advice about your stay on the island. A must go place, where to come back again.

Really great waterfront property in Symi. Hotel offered a free transfer from where the boat dropped us off and were very accommodating in regards to that. Breakfast was good and it was great just to be able to sit out and look over the water as you had it. The pillows were extremely comfortable.
