With the river in the middle of the city and all the bicycles on the streets it feels like you are in a big European capital. The locals take very good care of their city and it shows. Nice restaurants and bars, great shopping district, very beautiful historical sights. I could live there for sure!

A vibrant town that was great for wandering around.
A vibrant town that was great for wandering around. Not many concessions to tourists and all the better for that - you really felt you had the authentic Greek experience. In addition a number of good restaurants and excellent coffee shops. No real stand-out sights, though the old town, the castle and the mill were all worth a visit. Easy to do an excursion to Meteora as it was only about half an hour drive or train journey.

Tríkala is blessed with a progressive and expert-oriented city council. Its mayor is a figure in Greece’s urban planning scene. That makes Tríkala a very well-run city with pedways, a river walk, a beautifully restored historic core, which is also the epicenter of restaurants, cafes, and clubs, respect for its Ottoman-era monuments (Trikala features one of the most significant mosques in the region), and well-mannered drivers (stopping at crosswalks when someone is waiting to cross). Importantly, then, it’s the place to stay when you visit amazing Meteora!

Nice city which runs with European standards!
Nice city which runs with European standards! The only downfall is the traffic and difficult parking near the centre, but there's always the option to rent a bike if the weather allows. Not to be missed during Christmas time, especially from families with small children!

Beautiful city, lots to see, lots of history, centrally located to visit other cities and Meteora.
The river that runs through Trikala gives the city am amazing atmosphere.
It was my first time there I would definitely come back!
The place was perfect for our family of 4 and a dog. Everything looked just like the photos. Very clean and modern decor. The kitchen was equipped with what we needed for a couple nights. There was wine and a basket of goodies left for us. The beds were comfortable. Wi-Fi was good. The outdoor yard was huge and surroundings are private and beautiful. There are chickens, dogs and cats who live on the property too. The host comes to care for them.
We had a car, which was necessary, but only a short drive to Trikala.
The house is amazingly spacious and spotlessly clean, creating a very comfortable living environment. The fully equipped kitchen is a big plus, especially with the thoughtful addition of breakfast items, wine, and even small gifts for our kids. It's located just a 10-minute drive from downtown Trikala, making it easy to explore the area. The owners were very helpful and responsive.
Perfection!!! No other word to describe this perfect hotel.
Very high level in every detail.
Perfect decoration, perfect rooms, perfect staff and service, perfect food, perfect facilities, perfect atmosphere, perfect view.
No doubt a place to come back for few days vacation.
An example of how hotel should look and operate.
The room is spacious (for what I'm used to in Greece at this price range), the place is kept clean, the bed comfortable, the wifi was good mostly and the kitchen functional. Everything is in walking distance and Dimitris the owner was very accommodating. Definitely staying there again when visiting Trikala in the future.
My recent stay at this hotel was delightful. The great location allowed me to explore the town effortlessly. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. I appreciated the complimentary breakfast and the charming atmosphere of the hotel. A great choice for a cozy stay.
It was very clean and comfy, the staff was super nice, and the location is perfect, in the center, and you can reach almost everything by foot. Also the Trikala Christmas village was only 10 min walk away and the magic begins!! 🎄
The house was located in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood in the Trikala suburbs. It was very comfortable, with modern furniture, and above all, extra clean. We felt at home. Also, the owners were very professional and kind.
Very cozy property. We really enjoyed the fireplace. Also, the big garden was great for the kids. If you want to make daily road trips to to the mountains that surround Trikala the location is ideal!
The appartment is awesome! It is super clean, there were numerous amenities, and we felt like we were staying in a lux hotel. If you ever end up in Trikala, you should book this place.
This is a beautiful hotel with over a century of history. The exhibited items and the rooms themselves could be a museum. Fantastic place to spend some time in Trikala.
