I had an incredible stay at Hopewell Hotel in Hong Kong! The hotel was spotless, comfortable, and had a fresh, modern feel. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and even the housekeeping team was not only efficient but also warm and kind. The location was fantastic—one side offered a vibrant city view, while the other showcased beautiful natural scenery. There were also small parks and terrace-like areas nearby, adding a peaceful touch to the surroundings. Plus, getting to the metro was quick and easy, making it super convenient to explore the city. Breakfast was a highlight! The variety of delicious dishes made every morning enjoyable. Highly recommend this hotel for a perfect stay in Hong Kong!

FAQs about hotels in Hong Kong

Style Amidst the Skyscrapers

One of the world’s busiest and most populated cities, Hong Kong is best-known for its stunning skyline with over 1,200 skyscrapers and its “East meets West” cultural mix. With architecture and interior design influenced by feng shui and modern technology, this city is truly unique.

Hong Kong offers plenty of interesting city and thematic tours, ranging from cuisine-oriented, to architecture or nature. The latter is particularly fascinating as Hong Kong has many amazing mountain landscapes, marine parks and the Tian Tan Buddha on Lantau Island is only a ferry ride away.

Kowloon is a busy urban center near Victoria Harbor, where ferries are an excellent choice to see just how tall Hong Kong's buildings actually are. Excellent tax-free shopping can be found in high-class malls, boutiques and street markets.

Hong Kongs’ unique cultural fusion is clearly seen, tasted and heard in the local food, like dim sum from Maxim's Palace or hot pot from street vendors complimented local Cantopop music in the background.

Arriving at Hong Kong International Airport you’re only a short trip from the city center. Whether you’re staying in a chic hotel or a budget hostel, Booking.com has the perfect accommodation for a holiday in Hong Kong.

Food is good, we were recommended Michelin Guide eateries like Sister Wah for their beef noodles soup and had black sesame ice-cream just next door. There's good dessert shop called Kai Kai, their black sesame n walnut torng soi was excellent. We went all over to look for the famous eateries, good dimsum, roast goose, grilled lamb etc. The TaiChi provided by Cordis was good. Transportation was easily available. Rainy season didn't dampen our passion for good food, though a bit inconvenient as my sister's main aim for this trip was food, food n food only hahaha!

I have been to Hong Kong as a kid but never really explored the city or stayed for that long. Hong Kong reminds me a lot of New York City. It is fast paced, some nice people, some rude people, hot & muggy, very humid in the summer, and great skyline/harbor views. If you’ve never been, I would recommend checking it out & trying the things they’re known for like: dim sum, Chinese baked goods, milk & lemon tea, and cute trinkets! Brace yourself for humidity, crowds of people, & hopefully some fun memories. The MTR (subway) is pretty self explanatory and not too difficult. If you’re not a fan of subways I recommend taking an Uber Taxi. You can request it from your Uber App & they come quick!! I’d recommend visiting Hong Kong and maybe another surrounding country to make the most out of your trip.

My recent visit to Hong Kong was an interesting experience,...

My recent visit to Hong Kong was an interesting experience, albeit affected by wet weather. Unfortunately, the rain limited my enjoyment, especially during my visit to Ngong Ping. I’m looking forward to exploring this beautiful site under sunnier skies on a future trip. I noticed that some shopping prices aren't as attractive as they used to be, which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, while I have fond memories of delicious dim sum and desserts from previous visits, I found that some places didn't quite live up to the standards I remembered. On a brighter note, I did observe that people seemed a bit friendlier than in the past, although I still encountered some challenges when seeking help. Overall, my trip was a mix of highs and lows. I appreciate the vibrant culture and look forward to returning to experience all that Hong Kong has to offer in better weather and perhaps with a few more culinary delights.

What fun to be in a busy, bustling, Asian city.

What fun to be in a busy, bustling, Asian city. Crime was very low, and there was so much to do that was so different from home. We chose to avoid all the tourist areas (Disney World, Ocean Park, etc), going to full-on Chinese areas of Hong Kong and eating only in local, Chinese restaurants where there were no other Westerners - we wanted to be among the local people. We found that people responded rally well to this, welcoming us and the few who could speak English were really helpful at letting us know what the specialty of each restaurant was. (There was always a menu in English, which helped). We loved the local night market, flower market, and took ourselves off to Sai Kung harbour, riding a ferry over to the nearby islands, all for a really reaonable price.

Loved Hong Kong, we had a fab stay.

Loved Hong Kong, we had a fab stay. Stayed near the avenue of stars and used the star ferry, ding ding trams, and the underground. All super simple to use and so cheap. The longest escalator is a must, and also the viewing deck at the top of the mountain. The Owl bakery was totally worth the wait and a trip to temple street food/night market. Everyone was very friendly and we seen no trouble during our stay. The streets are very pedestrian friendly with sky walks and underground. Plenty of museums and shopping centres.

This is a very new and clean hotel in the quieter part of the city. It is conveniently located near several bus stops (A10 to the airport, 970X to Central and Kowloon, 72 to Wan Chai), everything works, the room was larger than the average Hong Kong hotel room, but still smallish by American or European standards. The staff speaks very good English. It is a great idea to stay in downtown for several days and then move to this hotel in Aberdeen to do some hiking on Lamma Island or along the Pok Fu Lam trail to Victoria Peak.

Very new hotel, clean with modern facilities. Staff were responsive and wonderful from the moment we checked-in and out. They kindly upgraded our room, and the room is quite big for Hong Kong Island standards. The interior felt homey and comfortable. Gym was clean, spacious and has adequate facilities to workout. Breakfast buffet was good with lots of selection, the restaurant was also spacious. Easy access to Wan Chai MTR and bus stops, lots of dining options and a supermarket nearby.
