My second time in Korcula and this time I brought my snorkels and the effort paid off. We snorkeled as much as we could and were gratified by so many sea urchins and star fish! The water temperature in late September was just perfect. We kept going back to this one restaurant Marco Polo because the staff Antonio was informative and entertaining. Their Posip (white wine from Korcula) was bar none the best we had! We kept saying next time we could cut short all the other locations in Croatia and just stay longer in Korcula!

A very picturesque old town.
A very picturesque old town. You can reach everywhere on foot.
For some reason this year restaurants were extremely expensive.
We have been going there for several years now and have noticed the price differences this year

Korcula is one the charming islands of Croatia, very closed to Durbovnik (2 hours ferry distance) and Split (2.3 hours ferry distance) but also closed to sacreds island of Lastovo and Mljet. Old city of Korcula is so far one of the oldies and charming cities you will see on Adriatic coast. As for the island and the beaches, you should definitely check islands Badija and Vrnik. Public beach on Korcula is best city beach in Adriatic I have seen, but if you have time you should see also Lumbarda beach (best water experience), beach in Zupnicka banja and Luka Bay (Port 9).

Korcula is wonderful, so if you have a chance to visit there, go!
Korcula Old Town is small, crowded but pretty.
There are interesting places to visit, bell tower, Marco Polo house..
Outside old town there are view points.
Good food but it is a popular place so prices can be high in Old Town area.
Take a buggy tour, visit wineries, take a boat trip to islands near, visit Vela Luka..
Eat decent price cevapcici at Popina with sea view or have best burgers at Pub Nordes!!

We only visited the town as staying for two nights and didn't have a car. Two nights is ample as the town is very small, but I have no doubt you could spend much longer is you were exploring more of the island.
There are a lot of nice restaurants in Korcula, some fine dining and the main street of restaurants overlooking the sea is spectacular.
The two swimming spots in the town were a welcome surprise - I would recommend Beach Zakerjan where you are shaded by the high city walls, and the water is pristine.
We ate at Konoba Aterina and Nonno - both highly recommended.

Beautiful island - there are 153 bays and there is a lot of apartments to hire. you should try and stay near a town as shops are limited unless yo are near Korcula town. plus most restaurants, bars etc are there. Be aware of the time to get ferries to the island. next time we may hvae hired a car & taken the car ferry as this always runs plus avoids taxis from airport to ferry, hydrafoils not running, etc..
The staff is what made this our favorite hotel during our time in Croatia - you cannot go wrong staying at the Fabris! Teha, Nikolina, and Nino were the most friendly and super attentive during our visit. The personal touches and attention to detail was very much appreciated. The breakfast service was lovely and starting each day on the patio with the view was just divine. Live music in the square outside on weekend evenings was the cherry on top! And we're super grateful for the honeymoon suite upgrade! Hvala!!
The apartment was beautiful, modestly furnished and had everything one could need. The facilities were not luxurious, but normal and functional, like you were staying at a friend’s house instead of a hotel. The space was filled with light and looked out onto the sea & surrounding islands, it’s like a movie. I could not imagine a more beautiful place to stay for a few days. Four minute walk from the ferry port & anywhere in the old walled city. The host was also very friendly and helpful.
Everything was what I expected and more! Room was very clean as well as the rest of the hotel, check-in was a breeze, pool area was very nice with an amazing view! The staff was super friendly and professional (includes all staff), room and bath was spacious, bed was comfortable too. Short walk to the old town of Korcula was definatley " a short walk", quiet night at the hotel which was a big + for us. Perfect stay for our family of 3.
The location is great. Comfortable and spacious rooms. Both bedrooms and the living room is equipped with aircon The kitchen is moderately equipped, but enough for a short stay and just preparing the essentials before heading out.
The owner is very friendly and accommodating.
The apartment is in pristine condition.
Highly recommend it for tour stay in Korcula Old Town!
The people were so helpful and kind. The view from our room was beautiful. After spending three days on the island and scoping out the other hotels I was considering, I think this hotel has the best location because it has the nicest beach right in front and is so close to old town, ferry port, shopping, restaurants and historical sites.
We had a wonderful stay here .Cleanliness was 100% perfect. The breakfast was great ….and a beach at the door were very important to us.
Location ,to all the restraunts and the historic city , was spot on and the staff were all very friendly and happy to help in every way.We will return again. Thanks for a wonderful holiday in Korcula.
A beautiful and very vosy place to stay on Korčula! The location is perfect and the room had a beautiful sea view an everyting we needed! Marcela, our host, was incredibly sweet! She was taking such good care of us and we could even leave our backpacks for a few hours after checkout. - Thank you so much for having us and see you soon! -
Villa Marija is perhaps one of the best situated villas on Korcula island. The view is just stunning! The house itself is top notch! It has everything and even more of what you need for your great vacation. Jure, the host, is unbelievable in terms of hospitality, but also discreetness. We will be coming back for sure.
The hotel is in a great location. Short walk anywhere. Breakfast had a very nice variety and you could order individually made items off the menu. The view from our room was exceptional. We could look right out to the sea! The staff was helpful. They helped us to rebook ferry tickets after our was cancelled.
Apartment is in a lovely location, on a quiet bay, but without a car, one needs to take a taxi to get there (or walk about an hour from Korcula town). Clean but basic accommodation, with a lovely, sunny patio. Host was helpful in arranging a taxi. Meals at the nearby resort (Tara's Lodge) were excellent.
It is a very nice hotel, the staff was very polite and nice. Breakfast and dinner buffet selection was very good, and the food was delicious.
The room was actually an apartment, spacious, comfy and clean.
The views are amazing, and the location - with close proximity to the Old town - is excellent.
The room had a fantastic sea view, and the hotel was a 10 minute walk from the old town. We loved that we could swim in the bay (which we knew would have rocky access) and then go sit in chairs by the pool if we wanted. The breakfast was buffet style in the main dining room and had lots of options.
Location was close to the Old Town of Korcula and the hosts were amazing and they even cleaned my car after I asked them where I could take my car for a good clean up.
Apartment was nice and clean and looked lije a hotel rather than a regular apartment
The hotel is right on the promenade, so very close to all the restaurants. Beautiful view onto the sea! a small beach is 5min walk from the hotel or you can just go for a swim right on the rocks below the hotel. :-)
The hotel was surprising. It has a very nice room, modern pretty clean and comfortable. The staff was super kind and helped us all the time. The Breakfast was super good in front of the beach.
The location is quiet and outside the old town of Korčula so it's more convenient if you have a car. You could walk but it's not close so I don't really recommend it.
very clean, centrally located hotel. the staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. delicious breakfast and all around service. highly recommend!
